They were both really offended."So,I am just assuming that I am completely right.You know that this means,you want me to marry your illegitimate son,right?"

"Not just marriage,actually.Let's face it,Adrie-""Nox!For goodness' sake,Adrienne is not the name I use!"I groaned and sat down at the couch.

"Lamar,leave."He walked out of the study and Patrice looked at me."Two years and only four weeks on land,we got nowhere to find them!You know the seas,he knows how to hunt!"

I stood back up."I'm not going to help you catch them!Alright?!And Lamar will never find them unless they want to be found!That is how all of this works!"

Calder finally decided to step in!"You want someone from my crew to marry that bastard of yours,right?I'm not missing anything?"I rolled my eyes.

"A word?"I pulled Calder aside but he did not drop the fucking attitude."We are already screwed with Pisinoe.They want me.You think actually considering anything is a good idea?"

"If you and Lamar get married,he's going to be living with us.So,I need to know stuff."I took a step back."Hold on a moment.You want me to marry him?"

"Why not?He looks around your age.You feel some attraction,obviously.So,I ask you again.Why not?"I rolled my eyes."Yeah,yeah.Why not?"I turned to Patrice.

"Why do you want me to marry your son?Because it doesn't make any sense unless I do decide to help you hunt down Sirens,which is not happening,ever."

"No one besides a pirate would want an illegitimate son of an important man.You should be arrested just because your ship is sailing inside our sea borders,Adrienne."

"For the last time!Nox!It is Nox!"I scoffed."Don't fucking bother me until I need to leave the household to go to the opera house."I left and I came to the room that maids led me to.

Willow was already in bed and he was trying to read this French book."What are you up to?""This is hard!I don't get this book."I smiled."Even I don't know that much French.Come on."

I changed and Willow braided my hair just for the fun of it."Thank you.You are getting better at this."He sighed."My head hurts."I checked his tempreture with my hand.

"Oh my..."I wanted to check again,so I kissed his forehead."Not too much but you have a cold.I will be back in a minute,alright?"

"Could you close the window on your way out?""The window is closed,Willow.I will be back."I left the room and found one of the maids.

"My little brother has a cold.""I can call the doctor."I shook my head."Not needed.I just need a bowl of really cold water and a little towel.To take the heat."

"Are you sure you don't need a doctor for him?"I nodded."I'll bring what you asked to your room."She left.I kind of started pacing around inside the room as Willow started shaking.

Maid brought the cold water and the towel.While I tended to Willow,she brought more candles to brighten up the room.She was almost worried as much as I was.

"Is he better?I can still get a doctor."I shook my head."He's getting better.Thank you for helping."She nodded."I have a son.I know how much a sickness could freak you out."

"In my case,it's my little brother.""Where are your parents,ma chérie?"I sighed."Dead.It's just the two of us now."She gasped in shock.

"How long has it been?""Couple months."She sighed."My room is just downstairs.Come in if you need me."I nodded."Thanks again."She left and a minute later,Calder walked in.

"What's with the constant running around?And why aren't you asleep,it's late?"I sighed."Willow has a cold.Someone needs to take care of him and I don't trust those land doctors."

"You're going to be sick yourself,what is the point?""Yeah,well,I have lived for 18 years.He is still nine."I squeezed the water out of the towel and got it soaked all over again to put it on Willow.

"Besides,I would rather be sleepless than leave him uncared for."He sat behind me at the edge of the bed as I was turned to Willow.

"You're pissed off."He whispered as his arm went all the way around my entire waist from behind.I flipped the towel before holding Willow's hand with both of my hands.

I brought Willow's hand up to my heart."You're angry with me because I thought it was great idea for you to get married to that Lamar boy."

My breath hitched as he whispered into my neck from behind with his low,husky and raspy voice."Fine,don't talk to me."He started kissing me all over but I could only focus on was Willow.

I took the towel and squeezed the water out of it.Got it soaked with cold water and put the towel back onto Willow's forehead.

A while later,I put my hand's back onto his neck and it was too cold for him that he flinched away."He was just getting better!"I took the towel off and put it back onto his forehead.

He woke up and threw away the towel."What are you doing,Nox?!"I turned around."I don't trust the land doctors but he needs a doctor.Watch him."He nodded and I ran out.

We called the doctor.Patrice came to the room in the morning."What is going on here?""Willow..He's uh...He's not getting better."

"The deal is a deal.We need to go to the opera house."I scoffed."My little brother is sick!Get that in your head!"Calder pulled me to another corner."Go.If anything changes,I'll find a way."

"I can't leave him with anyone right now.I have to be here!"Out of nowhere,Hook appeared at the door.No one saw him but he was making thumbs up.I turned back to Calder.

"They got the money and everything we got at our end of the bargain.If we leave now,we can get the money and I can get to spend time with Willow before he-"

"He could survive through this,Nox.You don't know what is going to happen.""Noah.This happened to Noah.He suffered and he suffered...Right now,he's suffering."

"So,what?You're going to kill him?!""No!I could never."I looked at Willow."I don't have the guts to lose someone else,Calder,I don't."

"So what?He's going to suffer and die either way?"I nodded."There is no other way to this Calder.I don't know what this is but...There is no other way this could end."

I didn't want to hear what the doctor would say to me because I already heard it all from Noah's doctor years ago!I sent everybody out of the room.

"Willow?""Nox,it hurts."I nodded as I tried to look as positive as I could to him but tears slipped."Willow,I love you.You know that,right?"He nodded.

"Was this what Noah went through?I heard you with captain."My painful silence gave him his answer."I don't want to die."I nodded."I know.I know,Wills."

Even though it pained him,he sat straight inside the bed."If I die,what is going to happen to you?Nen,Naida,Nathan and Noah...They all died."I nodded.

"Don't worry about me.Do you want me to sing to you?"He nodded and I started singing to him.But my intentions were clear.I wanted him out of his misery.

I sang to him and I tried to take his pain away.I don't even know how to do any of this but I did what I could.I hugged him and laid his head on my chest.

"Willow,I love you so much.Don't ever forget that.Alright?Promise me?"He nodded."I love you too.I know what you're doing.It's alright.I forgive you.And it doesn't hurt as much."

I kept singing to him until I heard him give his last breath."I'm so sorry,Willow.But I couldn't have watched you like that."

Now that I was completely alone,I let go.I let it all go.I cried to a point where I was completely numbed out and couldn't feel for shit!
