He snuck out the window.I had no choice but to go back down there.I changed out of my soaked clothes and left the room.

Next morning,I found myself in a church and a white wedding gown.Jefferson,Hook,Rudy and Silas came to the wedding.Rudy and Jefferson walked me down the aisle.

Although I wished I wasn't,all I could think of is the fight I had with Calder but he isn't trying to understand the situation I got myself in!

"Nox?"I got out of my trance."Sorry.Yes,I do.I do."Lamar took off the stupid white glove and put on the ring.

After the wedding,I had to talk with the guys before I left with Lamar.I waved a little and they came over."Could you guys keep all of my stuff where they are?"

"We weren't going to throw them away.You will need them for when you come back,Nox.We're not clueless sometimes."I gave weak smile with a weak nod.

Calder didn't tell them about not coming back.How could he not tell them and make this harder for me?!"Jefferson,I uhm...How could I say this?Uhm..."I scoffed.

"You know what?Nevermind.Uhm...You're right.I will need them later."They nodded."It's not like you will be gone for too long.Right?A week from now,you leave plus 6 weeks."

 "Maybe less,who knows?"We all had a big group hug and then I left with Lamar afterwards.

Lamar took me to his house and we were kind of awkwardly standing there."This is pretty much it.Since I don't stay a lot on the land that much,I never really stay here."

"I could see that.""I'm sorry about the mess,though.However,my father knows some really good guys to help you redecorate this entire place as you wish.You'll be the one living here,after all."

"Lamar,I could see how nervous you are and believe me,so am I.But even though I agreed to stay and not take you with me to my crew,I don't belong on the land."

"So,what do you say?""How about I come with you?I can't tell you what I know of the Sirens or other stuff but,at least,I will be in the water again."

He nodded."Alright."We sat down togather to discuss about the trip."Then,how about we leave tomorrow?We can come back earlier and it could be kind of like a honeymoon."

I turned around to see his father and it explained his sudden change of behavior."Already discussion honeymoon plans?"Lamar held my hand tight in front of his eyes.

"I guess,you could say that,father."Patrice left us alone a minute or two later."That was awkward."He took his hand off mine."Sorry about that."

I shook my head."It was nice to know I'm not exactly alone after Willow,you know?So it's alright."He smiled sweetly at me and I smiled back at him.

"Good to hear."We went back to his place  after the café.I started packing the little stuff I brought from the ship when we first came here.

Right when I locked the suit,Lamar came knocking."I'm done packing by the way."He suddenly hugged me out of the blue.I did not see that coming."This is a big sacrifice,Nox."

I sighed."Lamar?"He stepped away."I don't know why you want to help out the Sirens to begin with but...leaving your family behind,leaving me behind and sacrificing yourself...That's big."

I smiled."I know.However,I'm leaving you behind because I don't think you deserve to die just yet.You have a long life ahead of you and maybe,just maybe,we'll see each other again."

"Maybe,Nox.Maybe."I chuckled."Maybe,just maybe,I could hug you back.Not long,though."He chuckled nervously and hugged me."I'll take what I can get right now."

Days and weeks went by.I walked into the study."Are we ready to return back to the land?"They all nodded."If you are all done here,I'd like to stay alone for a moment."

They all left and I was all alone in Lamar's study.I had a lot of time to think about what I planned,what I wanted,what I needed and what I had to do.

I came to the conlusion that,I cannot have what I want and need if I do what I have to do.All this thinking was only just a few hours.

Yet,thinking about the fight with Calder took two months.We were supposed to turn back to the land 5 weeks ago.At least start the trip way back to the land five weeks ago.

Now that I am finally alone,this is my chance.I tried focusing but all I could focus on was him!This isn't even fair!

I tried and I tried...I finally pulled it togather and took a deep breath to begin.

"Cruel and cold like winds on the sea.Will you ever return to me?Hear my voice,sing with the tide...My love will never die."

"Over waves and deep in the blue,I will give up my heart for you.Ten long years,I'll wait to go by.My love will never die."

I kept singing and singing as I felt the ship shake with Pisinoe and her colony coming over.As I sang,I could feel the men they were killing.

They joined as I sang and I could hear the voices get louder.

"Cruel and cold like winds on the sea.Will you ever return to me?Hear my voice,sing with the tide...Our love will never die."

I stepped out of the study and saw Pisinoe waiting for me."You did the right thing for your people,Adrienne."I nodded."I did what I had to."

She extended her hand at me."Are you ready to go home,now?"I shook my head."No.But I know I have to."She smiled wider as she came over and held my hands.

"You are owning your responsiblities and your position.That is a good thing,Adrienne."I nodded."I lost too much,Pisinoe.I'm not losing more people."

We jumped off the ship and she took me to where all the colonies meet.At first,I could not see how it felt so familiar but I knew it for sure when we came to the throne room.

"I was born here.I was just a newborn baby but I remember.I was born here."She nodded."And I was the one helped your mother give birth here."

I turned to Pisinoe."You were my midwife?"She nodded."I'm also your godmother.Some human thing your mother made me become.I don't know what it is."

"It's becoming the person who takes care of the child,me,when something happens to the parents,my mother and father in this case."

She sighed."Maybe,I should own up my responsiblities like you are."I shrugged."I'm old enough to take care of myself,Pisinoe.I've been taking care of myself for long enough to survive."

"I'm sure of that.Well,this is your room.Your bedroom is right above here,at the top of the tallest tower in the castle."I nodded."Thanks."I turned back to the throne.

"Mind if I ask you to leave me alone for a moment?""Take all the time you need.And...welcome home,my Lady."Pisinoe left me alone in the throne room.

It felt like home but then again,where is home?It felt like home when I was on the ship with my parents or with Clader's crew.It felt like home with Willow.So,where is home,really?

I'm all alone in an underwater kingdom.In a throne room that is all mine.I swam to the throne and sat down there.It felt oddly right to be there.Until my body started changing all over again.

My tail and my hair got longer.A crown out of pearls magically appeared on my head and once I fully changed,waves of power radiated through me and the entire kingdom.

Once it was all over and I mean all of it,I went up to the top of the tower.I laid in bed with complete silence surrounding me.However,I knew it was impossible to fall asleep without him.

It was a worth a try,I guess.
