"Why would you want to get married this quick?""To get it over with.Why else?"He rolled his eyes."You don't even know me."I nodded."I know,Lamar."

"I'm sorry about your brother,by the way."I rolled my eyes.It fucking hurt but I buried it deep inside me.I felt as if I was dying and I was exausted."Save the pity."

"Tell me about him.Maybe it'll make you feel better."I shook my head."Talking about him is the last thing I need,Lamar.""Give it a chance.You can't know until you try."

"I can.I have been there and done that.Not the first time I'm losing someone.""A sibling?"I scoffed."How much more clear could I get?I don't want to talk about my brother."

"I don't-"I stood up and left to take some air.I cut him off but who cares?I came out to the balcony.Trying to take in the cold fresh air.

It physically hurts me to be here,to stand on my own,to try not fall apart...My heart wouldn't stop beating rapidly,I can't control it.

I'm hyperventilating as I try to calm down more.I thought an earthquake was happening as I felt my entire body tremble as if I was little leave in the wind with no destination.

I hated that.I hated that feeling I got.I hated the situation I got myself in and the one I found myself in.I'm sick of this!Why does this have to hurt this bad?!

I had no strength in me to stand on my feet.I sat on the ground with my hands on my heart.I felt is if I was dying.I wanted to cry but nothing.The tears that piled up never fell.

Soon,I felt my hands burn!I could see my flakes show on my hands.My hands started changing and it burned so bad!I was drying.I could see my bones!

Not long after,same thing started happening to my legs,then my face and neck as I felt my gills dry out.

I tried to stand up but the weight of my body was too much for my bones to carry.It burned and hurt so much and I know I was dying."Nox?"I couldn't even move my neck to look.

"Ca-"I couldn't even speak."Holy tsunami."He picked me up but I couldn't even scream.He put me in the tub and opened the water valve.

Until I was completely under the water,I didn't start healing.Once I fully healed and transformed,I took my head out of the water,gasping.

So,this is what her true form looks like.An underwater angelic-like mermaid.All white as Pisinoe told us.She gasped loudly as she got her head out of the water.

"You don't belong on the land,Nox."I turned off the water."Look at you,Nox.Just look,alright?Do you really believe that you belong on the land?Especially with a guy that is hunting for you?!"

"You really don't see it,do you?I'm not going to let them get away with it.I could feel her,Pisinoe.The more hurt I got,the more she got hurt and I felt her pain too."

"What is there to see?Enlighten me so I won't lose my shit like this again!"She sighed."I'm going to marry him.And when he leaves for another hunting trip,I'm going to lure them into a trap."

I saw it.What she wanted me to see,I saw it."You won't make it on the land,Nox.Your life is on the line.""I had enough time to process the fact that I am who I am."

"And who you are isn't important if you die!"She nodded."I know."It only came at me then when I saw her fully white.She's still fully white!

"You were supposed to be changing color,Nox."She looked at herself in the tub."What do you mean?I'm not supposed to be white?"

"Not after the amount of people you killed,no."She looked at me with suspicion."Calder,what is it that you know but I don't?"I told her.

I told her what Pisinoe told me."I have to go.Lamar,he's still downstairs."I could not believe her.

"What happens after you lure them into the trap you set?Huh?How will you find your way back to the ship?"She sighed."Who said anything about coming back?"

"What else could you do?!You will come back,Nox!"She shook her head."If it is as you say,then I have to be there for those who still need me."

"Need you?!Who could possibly need you more than-"She can't leave the crew.She can't leave the ship.Fucking hell,she can't leave me!She can't just go off like this!No!

"More than who?My father?My mother?My brothers?My old crew?Calder,I have no other reason to go back on that ship.You should be happy!Happy to be finally getting rid of me!"

"Yeah,well,I'm not!""Guess,we can't always get what we want,huh?"She got out of the tub as she turned back to her human for again.

I stood up."Nox,you cannot leave like nothing went down!""Did it,though?So we kissed and fell asleep next to each other a couple times.So,what?"She scoffed.

"I'm a useless lying whore.Always been,always will be.Now you are finally getting rid of me as you wanted from day one!"She took a few steps away before stopping as I spoke.

"That was before I believed you,before I started trusting.That was before I actually started talking to you,before I started respecting you.That was before I cared."

She turned around with a mocking smile over her face."Seems like I'm the only smart one here.Why do you think I told you all that stuff?You're a tough nut to crack but look at you."

"Calder,my plan was simple from day one.Stay alive and keep Willow alive.I failed at one of them,that's for sure.How I stayed alive,that didn't matter."

"But it is clear as day that I got what I wanted.I made you care and it worked.You cared and you couldn't kill me however I may have disrespected you.You turned a blind eye to my acts."

"Knowing that no one would believe the crap you talked about me,I felt no need to use whatever story I needed to make you trust me.So,congratulations,Calder.You fell right into the trap."

I nodded."And you're lying again.Because,when you lie about something you would normally be confident with,you put both of your hands on your waist.Normally it's just one of them."

"When you lie about something rather more personal,you put your hands to your sides and hold onto what you have around you.If you weren't lying,you'd cross your arms in front of you."

"Do you want to know why?Because,you don't feel comfortable with talking about your past wounds.So you physically close yourself as you try to open up your heart and feelings."

I nodded."So,yeah.Lie all you want.You can fool them but you can't fool me,Nox."
