"Wrench?!" I heard then I grabbed the screwdriver from my mouth, popping out of the ceiling and seeing Jack sigh as he crossed his arms, looking up at me.
"What in the world are you doing?" He asked and I grinned.
"Fixing the security cameras! What's up?" I asked then went back into the ceiling.
"Well, I was going to ask for your help on something special, but it seems you're busy!" He called and I popped back out.
"What?" I asked and he shrugged.
"Just something with the power of the base, no big deal-"
"Wait!" I said and hopped out of the ceiling, standing in front of him with my tools.
"Okay!" I said and he laughed.
"Follow me." He said and I followed behind him to the main circuit room to see Brigitte cursing.
"I can't figure this out!"
"Try the other wire instead." I said and she glared at me, but I stepped closer and sorted the wires, plugging them all in and watched as the base lit back up.
"How did you-"
"It was easy." I said and she glared, standing and leaving.
"Thanks, Wrench." Jack said and I nodded, going to finish with the security cameras.
"Wrench, wait up!" I turned to Genji then he let out a breath when he caught up to me.
"I have a favor to ask of you." He said and I nodded.
"Okay." I said, watching as he pulled something up on his tablet. When he turned it to me, I saw synthetic skin and all the ways you could order it.
"What is this?" I asked and took the tablet, eyeing the skin.
"Could you help me?" I looked at Genji then gaped as I understood what he wanted, looking back at the tablet.
"Genji-"
"If I ordered this, could you make me look more human? Less cyborg, with more skin?" He asked and I looked at him then tried to think.
"Genji, there's nothing wrong with your metal-"
"Could you though?" He asked and I took a deep breath.
"I-I suppose I could." I said and looked at the skin again.
"I would just need to see the skin in person, but-"
"You could?" He asked and I looked at him then huffed.
"Genji, there isn't anything wrong with how you look-"
"I know, but the metal gets cold and people don't like touching it. I-I feel like an outcast with the metal showing, like people aren't sure of me, so I was hoping this could make people more eager to be around me." He said and I smiled.
"Alright, as long as you know there's nothing wrong with how you look now." I said and he nodded as he took the tablet back.
"Thank you, Wrench!"
"Your welcome. I just have to set up a space to work now-"
"Get with Commander and Reinhardt, maybe Winston, they can help and I will talk to them myself." He said and I nodded, turning and going to finish the cameras finally!

"Synthetic skin?" Reinhardt asked as Jack looked over the tablet.
"Yes." Genji said, but Winston turned to us.
"Genji, you're fine as you-"
"This isn't really a self-esteem or self-image issue. More a concern for others feeling uncomfortable around me." He said and Jack eyed me.
"Could you do it? I've seen your work with living things-"
"When I was still in Junkertown, sure, but I've changed and learned since then, Jack. Besides, I-I could always call Mako if I needed a second opinion." I whispered and Jack clenched his jaw.
"Wrench, no! We made a deal-"
"Then trust me, Jack! I-I can do this, it's nothing more than a simple upgrade on a machine! No offense, Genji-"
"I am mostly machine, it's alright." He said and I smiled.
"As long as I focus on the metal parts of him-"
"This is more than laying skin, Wrench. This is about hiding his wires, which are like his veins, and-"
"And, he's got plating that I can literally replace with skin. If I take off his plates and put the skin in their place, we can do it-"
"Heat resistance? Wear and tear as he moves? What about when he gets hurt? Hmm?" Jack asked and I went to argue, but nothing came out. Jack sighed through his nose then set the tablet down, eyeing me.
"You call Mako, you ask him for his second opinion since he knows skin so well, but that's it-"
"What about Jamie? He's good with internal workings of omnics and bots and-"
"Wrench-"
"I swore not to go see them again when I teamed up with you, but this is about Genji. This has nothing to do with either of us or those two, just Genji and doing as he wants." I said and Jack stared me down, but nodded.
"Alright, I'm trusting you." He said and I nodded.
"Thank you, Jack." I whispered then looked at Genji and smiled as we left.
"Mako and Jamie?" Genji asked, but I shook my head.
"The less you know, the better, Genji. I'm already in hot water for even asking these two." I said and he nodded, watching as I went to my room. Once there, I dug through my assorted junk for the radio I had and I set it up, turning it on and going to the only channel it was set to.
"Wrench to Roadie and Junker." I said into the speaker and waited, holding the headphone to my ear. After a few minutes of silence, I sighed and pressed the button again.
"Wrench to Junker and Roadie, over?" I called, waiting again in silence. When it was still silent, I cursed and set the handheld speaker down, eyeing the radio.
"You guys always answer." I whispered and went to turn it off.
"Junker to Wrench!" I heard and grinned, grabbing the speaker.
"Hey, Jamie." I said and waited as his maniacal laughter came through.
"Been awhile, Wrench! Roadie, it's Wrench!" I heard a rough grunt in the background then smiled.
"Sorry to be professional, Jamie, but I need some help from you and Roadie on a new project." I said and heard his giggles.
"Alright, mate!" He laughed and I began explaining, taking notes as they helped me.
