Fifteen

"Mother?!" Jack cried and I nodded, crossing my arms.

"Everyone, my mother. Ambassador Juliet Rachel, the woman who sold me out to the man claiming to be my father." I said and Reinhardt glared.

"You authorized the experiments on Wrench?!" He snarled, his loud voice echoing in the room and silencing everyone.

"I authorized super-soldier experiments-"

"And I was test subject zero, mother." I said and she glared, stepping closer and getting in my face.

"I will NEVER legalize Overwatch if you are here! When you leave, I will happily legalize it! They don't need a monster-" I went to hit her, but Genji caught me and forced me back as Fareeha jumped between us.

"Laina, take a walk!" Jack growled then Genji forced me out and I huffed as I went straight to my workshop. I gripped the top of the table, leaning over it as I tried to calm down, but I felt a hand on my shoulder.

"Laina?" Genji whispered, which was my breaking point. I turned to him then grabbed his jacket, pulling his mouth against mine.

"Mmm!" The sound escaped him, but I felt his hands already pushing my dress up my thighs as I turned us and forced him against the table.

"Laina-"

"Distract me." I whispered and he nodded, sitting on the table and pulling me on top of him, fulfilling my fantasy.

"I won't authorize it, Commander-"

"You threatened my soldier!" I heard Jack yell as I knocked, but I heard silence for a moment.

"Come in!" I opened the door then saw mother inside with Winston, Ana, Reinhardt, Jack, and Genji. That's where he went this morning.

"You asked to see me, Commander Morrison?" I asked and Jack nodded, waving me forward.

"Is Ambassador Juliet Rachel your mother?" He asked and I nodded, eyeing her as I stood next to her.

"Genji, please." Ana said then Genji was at my side, holding my hip as I relaxed into him.

"Did she send you to your father, who experimented on you and made you into the Night Beast?" Winston asked and I nodded.

"She did. I had asked her to help me get away from him, to find somewhere safe to hide, but she sent me to the facility in Oklahoma." I said and Jack nodded.

"Ambassador, while you've been in here, Overwatch has been re-legalized and we now have power above yours. I am putting you under arrest for the endangerment of your own child, sending her to her death, and for unlawful experiments." He said and she looked ready to argue, but two guards I hadn't seen before grabbed my mother and held her arms.

"You can't do this to me, Commander!"

"I just did."

Three Weeks Later:
"Did I hurt you last night?" He whispered as he held my cheeks, but I shook my head and smiled up at him.

"Not in a way I didn't like." I whispered and he nodded, laying his forehead on my own.

"Laina?!" I heard and stepped back as Genji jumped away, since he had asked to keep 'us' a secret.

"Hello, Hana." I smiled and she cleared her throat as she caught the air between us.

"Commander has asked for everyone to meet in the debriefing room." She said and I nodded.

"Be there in a moment, just checking Genji's seals." I said and she nodded, turning and going back as I looked at Genji.

"We can't hide forever-"

"Please, Laina, just until I am more comfortable with the idea of us-"

"Comfortable?! Genji, in case you have forgotten, you started this when you drunkenly kissed me! We're both happy with this, with each other, why can't we just-"

"Laina, enough!" He argued and I stopped, nodding some.

"Yeah, that is enough." I whispered and turned, going into the hall.

"Laina!" I heard Genji call me, but I threw his hand off when he tried to grab me.

"That's enough, Genji! I see now, you're ashamed of me-"

"I never said that!" He argued, but I laughed as I crossed my arms.

"'More comfortable'?! Genji, I told you when I started on your synthetic skin that there is nothing wrong with you! I still stand by what I said, you are perfect and I let you convince me to do... this!" I waved my hand at him then shook my head as I tried not to feel my heart breaking.

"I let you convince me that this- us was a good idea! I let you convince me to hide this from our family, our friends and teammates, but I can't anymore, Genji! God, I thought I could, but these last three weeks have been so hard for me! I can't keep hiding things from Jack, the man who brought me in and saved me! I-I can't hide things from Brigitte or Hana, my friends that I confide everything in-"

"Laina, please, keep your voice down!" Genji begged, but I laughed and shook my head.

"Why?! Worried someone will hear?!"

Jack's POV
"Hana, where are they?" I asked, but Athena answered by pulling up a video of the two in the hall, obviously in the middle of an argument.

"Why?! Worried someone will hear?!" Laina yelled and sourly laughed.

"Genji, I can't do this! I can't sit here and lie to everyone-"

"I'm not asking you to-"

"That's exactly what you did and you know it! I can't do this, I can't lie and hide and sneak around! I-I can't do this." She said and I felt like Athena should have turned the video off, but I also saw Hanzo looked worried, Hana and Brigitte looked sad, and the team looked like they were the ones being yelled at. It was bad.

"You can go to the debriefing, tell them I- tell them I didn't feel good, Genji." Laina said and turned, going to leave, but Genji caught her elbow. Only for her to swing around and punch him in the face, knocking him into the wall.

"DON'T TOUCH ME, GENJI!" She screamed and stepped away.

"Don't ever touch me again!" She said then the video cut off, making McCree let out a whistle.

"Leave them alone for now then." I said and turned to the table, clearing my throat as I began the debriefing.
