"It's been over a week-"

"You heard them, Echo." Commander said then I sighed through my nose, but turned my head as I heard something outside.

"She's back." I said and stood, going to the dock. When I got there, I saw Wrench hop off the boat and stand on the dock, looking right at me.

"Wrench." I heard behind me, but I went closer and smiled as Wrench immediately hugged me, my arms wrapping around her.

"Welcome home." I whispered into her shoulder then she squeezed me tighter.

"I'm back, Genji-"

"Is all of you back?" I asked and pulled back, holding her shoulders as I eyed her.

"No, but I'll get there." She said and I nodded.

"You can talk to us, you know that, right?" I offered and she nodded.

"Come on, we've got a week to make up for-"

"Not until you rest." I said and brushed her hair back behind her ear.

"Genji-"

"I need the day anyhow, Dr. Ziegler did a little bit of work this week and she's not as gentle as you." I said and she laughed.

"Alright." She smiled then I hugged her shoulders as we went towards the base.

"Wrench." Commander acknowledged her as we went past, but she did little more than nod at him.

"Everyone was worried about you." I told her as we walked towards her room, making her smile sadly.

"I'm okay- well, I will be." She said and I nodded, stopping by her door.

"If you ever need to talk-"

"Thank you, Genji." She said and I nodded, watching as she went into her room to settle back in and rest.

I finished with his leg then looked at him, seeing he was eyeing the skin.

"I see Angela did your hands and feet." I said and he nodded.

"She said it was probably the hardest, because she had to change my metal so I had actual toes." He explained and I nodded.

"Wrench." I looked at Jack then he stopped next to me with Winston and Reinhardt.

"I'm grounding you for leaving without permission-"

"Commander-"

"Genji, please, I broke the rules!" I argued and smiled as I held his knee.

"I'll be okay, don't worry." I smiled and he nodded, giving my hand a squeeze.

"You will be grounded for two months, unable to go on missions or leave the island unless I specify otherwise." Jack said and I nodded at him.

"I understand." I said then Jack sighed and shook his head.

"Wrench, where did you go?" He asked, but I shook my head, as I wasn't going to tell him.

"That's personal, Jack, just like your life before I walked into it is personal." I said and he nodded.

"I'll respect your wish." He said then turned and left, but the other two stayed.

"How is it?" Reinhardt asked and Genji shook his head.

"Painful, like being burned alive."

"You are in a way." I mumbled as I worked on the back of his right calf, using the pen to seamlessly seal the skin. As I worked, they chatted about anything and everything.

"Alright, your legs are done." I said and Genji looked then smiled.

"Guess pants are a requirement now as well." He said and I tossed him some sweats.

"Weird to think I've been naked this entire time." He said as he slid them on and I smirked, standing and putting my tools away.

"We'll finish with your back, neck, and arms tomorrow." I said and looked at him.

"We-we could order a jaw piece." I said and he touched his metal chin.

"Could you?" He asked and I nodded.

"I'll place the order tonight." I said and Reinhardt came over.

"You angered Jack-"

"My personal life is just that, Reinhardt, personal." I said and he shook his head.

"We all have things we'd rather keep personal, but this is a team, a family-"

"Even the best family has it's secrets." I said then looked at the table, gripping the edge when I felt dizzy.

"Hell." I breathed, leaning on the furniture as the vertigo got worse.

"Wrench?" I heard from behind me, but I shook my head and cleared my throat.

"I-I'm fine." I said and grabbed my head, focusing on a central point. After a moment, the dizziness went away and I took a deep breath, dropping my hand.

"See? Fine." I said and turned, going towards the door.

Genji's POV
I watched her walk then shot to my feet as she hit the ground.

"LAINA!" I ran to her and grabbed her, holding her unconscious body close and cradling her head.

"Find Angela now!" I barked at Reinhardt, but Athena came over the base intercom and called the blonde here.

"Laina?! Wake up! Open your eyes!" I begged, holding her close as I heard rushed feet.

"Genji?!" I heard McCree then looked at the door and saw Angela there with the cowboy.

"She just fell!" Winston said as Angela dropped next to me, putting two fingers to Laina's throat.

"She's got no heartbeat! Lay her on the ground!" I did as told then watched as Angela tried CPR.

"Lena, go get my emergency kit from the infirmary!" She ordered, but I grabbed Laina's head and shook mine, feeling my heart tearing as the time went on.

"Wake up, Laina, please!" I breathed then looked at Lena as she came back with the emergency kit.

"Genji, hands off!" Angela said and I let go as she used the electric paddles on Laina.

"Come on, Wrench! Wake up!" Angela growled, but we watched as she stopped, the air silent and tense.

"Mercy?" Echo whispered, but Angela shook her head.

"I-I don't know what happened." She whispered and looked at me.

"Genji, what-"

"I-I..." I trailed, looking at Wrench. As I stared, I tried to figure out how this girl, this woman, was alive only moments ago.

"Is she gone?" Commander asked in a stone cold voice, but I glared as Angela nodded.

"Try again! Keep trying, she's not gone!" I yelled and tried to touch Laina, but Angela shoved me back and I hit the ground.

"She's gone, Genji!" She cried and I saw her tears.

"We lost her, she's gone!" She cried then I looked at Laina and shook my head.

"She-she was just-" I breathed, staring at Laina. How is she gone?
