Modern Eren x reader pt5

You went to the kitchen bench and rested your elbows against its cool surface. Eren was flicking through his phone on the couch, appearing to be  unaware of your presence.

You cleared your throat to gain his attention. His green eyes shot across to your (e/c), "have you finally decided you want to share my bed with me?" He drawled.

You shook your head. "Is it fine if I go outside by myself just for a few hours?"

He sat his phone down and swung his car keys around a finger. "By yourself no, but I can certainly come with you."

He was actually preparing to get the car started as he collected his jacket. "I want to go by myself."

He stopped and sighed, "there are maniacs trying to kill you."

You poured yourself a cup of coffee whilst trying to wear him down. "You seem like one to me, so I say I should be fine."

H launched himself off the couch and snatched your coffee. "Hey!" He smirked as he took a small sip. "Cool your jets missy I'm gonna share."

You walked around to the other side of the bench and grabbed his arm that had your coffee. "Give me!" You yelled as he struggled to keep it out of your reach.

"Stop pestering me you'll make me drop it!"

That's when the perfect chance arose, you tipped the cup so it spilled all over his leather jacket. He let go of the mug and stared at you with angry eyes.

You weren't the least bit intimidated. "Oops." You said with a smile.

"This is my good jacket, I'll have to wash it so the coffee doesn't stain."

He ripped it off his body and headed to throw in the washing machine. Whilst he muttered angrily to himself you tiptoed to the door. For a shabby house like this you were surprised but thankful the floorboards didn't creak.

Jean waited, tapping his foot impatiently. That's when he saw you running across the grass and stopping before him panting.

"Took you long enough."

You glared at him. "That...man...is much harder to get rid....of...than you THINK!"

Jean handed you a bottle of water you sculled the whole thing. Once you were done he threw it in the bin.

"Now let's discuss what I'm here for."

"You want to know if I remember any distinguishing features of the murder victim."

Jean nodded.

You thought hard about that night, Erwin had brutally stabbed the person. They had tried to fight back but someone short bound them.

Well the gurgled screams were definetly feminine. So you could narrow down the person was female.

"There wasn't enough lighting for me to tell. Only that the screams were that of a girl."

Jean ran his hand through his hair, "it's better than nothing but try to think a little harder."

So you did. The girl was breathing heavily and crying as her last words were drowned out by her throat being sliced open.

You'd gasped and both men had turned their heads in your direction. You'd ran like never before in your life but they didn't give chase.

You suddenly remembered a gleam of metal, the glint of a....ring! "A ring! I remember a sliver ring!"

Jean's features softened, "do you know anyone who wore a ring?"

"Yes actually." That's when you felt your gut clench. "Omg....he killed Annie-"

Something small and fast zoomed past your ear and hit a tree in front. A bullet.

More gunshots fired and Jean tackled you to the ground. "Shit they found us!"

"But how?!"

He held you tighter, "they must have tracked your phone."

He picked you up bridal style, you didn't think twice about the way he was carrying you. Since both of your lives were in danger.

More sounds of a gun firing filled the park as heaps of people screamed and ran.

He opened his car door and shoved you in. You quickly buckled your  seatbelt as Jean jumped in and stepped on the gas.

The bullets stopped firing as Jean swerved into different corners to try and lose the blue Sudan. Chasing the cop car.

Another joined the chase and you recognised right away as did Jean.

Eren.

And boy did he look pissed, that's when your phone rang. It was Eren calling.

You answered scared out of your mind. "Are you on the phone while driving?!"

Eren's voice blared through your speaker. "That is not important! Why did you leave when I told you not to?!"
