Breathe

Joshua's Pov

I woke up and my mouth was so sore I couldn't move it. I groaned in pain and punched my hand off my nightstand. I was so angry right now and I couldn't talk. I went downstairs in my grey sweats and was greeted by my brothers at the table.
"How are your teeth?" Asher asked me curiously. I grumbled and he got up getting me some pain medicine.

He gave me the medicine and they all ate breakfast I just sat there watching them. Vince got up and made me a smoothie while the others ate.
"Thank you." I told Vince and he smiled back at me.
"So Mont you playing Lacrosse this season?" Vince asked Monty as he sat there shoveling food. He nodded as he continued to eat. I drove to school, there I met with Justin and Chase.

"Longtime no see princess." Justin said ruffling my hair as we walked into the building. I rolled my eyes.
"It's been 3 days Justin." I laughed looking to him causing Chase to laugh too.
"I can't go without seeing your pretty face for that long." Justin said slapping the back of my neck causing us all to laugh. A kid was staring at him he looked like a freshman so I decided I want to mess with him a little.
"Hey pipsqueak!" I yelled causing his face to pale.
"Come here!" I yelled to him motioning for him to walk over to us which he did hesitantly. I put my arm around him and walked down the hall where the majority of the people were at.

"Hey everyone I would like your attention!" I yelled and the kids face turned a tomato red. Everyone was now looking at us with curiosity waiting to hear what I have to say.
"This kid is a major starer so if he stares at you come to me." I say with a smile shoving the kid to my side and walking off.
"What the fuck was that Josh!" Liv yelled coming up to me grabbing my hand harshly causing me to yank my arm away from her.
"He has a staring problem I took care of it." I said coldly to her which caused her expression to soften.
"What's going on with you?" She said softly grabbing my hand. I moved my hand away.
"Nothing is going on. This is me Liv take it or leave it alright." I say coldly and walk off to class.

In class I was caught in a day dream. I was thinking to myself on how Asher is ruining me, he's ruining who I am. I'm not this guy who humiliated people, but he's changed me to a monster. I guess it's the Maxwell jeans. After school Chase Justin and I went to the track to get some running in before Lacrosse season started. We were all starting varsity string this year so we have to make it count.

After a couple hours at the track I went to my car and looked to my phone. My phone had about 50 notifications from all my brothers asking where I was.
"Shit." I grumbled starting up my car and driving home. As I pulled into the driveway my brothers walked out to the driveway.
"What the fuck Josh!" Monty yelled storming to over to my car. Asher and Vince just stood there shaking there heads in disappointment.
"Where were you hermano." Asher said in a angry tone.
"I was at the track with Chase and Justin." I responded in the same tone.

"Keys." Asher demanded holding his hand out.
"What! No Asher!" I yelled in protest. I knew he was going to want to take my car away.
"keys hermano." He said getting angrier by the second. I shook my head again. I needed my car to get to school and to sports. Asher then walked over to me shoved me to the ground grabbing my keys out of my hands.
"These are mine now." He said angry and walked back in the house. I was still on the ground looking to Vince and Monty who just shook their heads at me. I was beyond angry at this point because they always took Ashers side on everything even if it wasn't fair. I then went to my room not even acknowledging my brothers at all.

"Josh." Monty tried talking to me making me stop in my tracks.
"Don't Montogromy." I growled even angrier than I was before.
"Josh don't be like that come on." He whined as I glared at him. I walked towards him slowly stopping when we were 2 inches apart.
"Speak." I growled causing him to step back from me in fear.
"Say what you have to say Montogromy do it!" I yell walking to him and my fist punching him square in the jaw. As he impacted the floor Vince and Asher came rushing upstairs and there I was towering over Montogromy.

"Joshua.." Vince tried reaching for me but I was in no mood.
"I'm tired of being walked all over in this fucking house! You guys are all on me all the damn time! I need to breathe!" I scream throwing the nearest thing in my reach.
"Okay hermano let's talk civilized okay.." Asher said trying to stop me. It was rare that you could stop me during one of my anger outbursts, hell I can't even stop myself. Asher reached his hand out to me grabbing my arm and pulling me closely on his chest.
"I just want to be normal." I say as my face is pressed into Ashers chest.
"I know hermano I know.." He said running his hand through my hair slowly as Vince helped Monty to his room. Asher held me there until my breathing slowed. I finally felt some sort of compassion from Asher which was rare...
Maybe he did understand me after all....
