Ty
I woke up to Jess screaming for everyone to get up. It is Saturday.
Jess knocked on the door, "You boys up?".
I looked around for Ben, "Yeah, I'm awake".
"Where's Ben?".
"Not sure," I got up, "Doing his own thing I guess".
"Alright. Can you help me make some breakfast with Ava and Juli?".
"Yeah, sure".
I got some pants on and went downstairs. Ava was making eggs, Juli was making his action figures battle it out, and Jess was cleaning the table already.
"What're your plans for today?" Jess asked me.
I shrugged, "Just gonna go over to a friends house?".
"Do you work tonight?".
"Yeah, I do. Ben works tomorrow night. They try to keep our shifts apart".
Jess smirked, "And for good reason".
I laughed a little.
"Can you take Ava to her sleepover party? I have an early shift".
I nodded, "Does she have a gift for it?".
Jess sighed, "No, no she doesn't. I feel horrible for it Ty. I have no extra money right now".
Ava grabbed her bag.
"Sucks. I'll be back in a couple hours" I rushed over to Ava at the door.
"Alright, thank you".
Jess
"I'm taking you to a friends house. I don't trust you home alone" I looked at Juli.
Juli took a second, "Fair".
Juli went up to his room and packed a bag. I waited by the door for him. He didn't take too long, then we were off. We walked down the street together.
I knocked on the door to his friends house.
The kid answered, "What?".
"Want Julian to hang out?".
He nodded.
"Perfect, here you are".
Juli ran inside and the kid shut the door. I continued down the street to work.

"So you don't have a gift?" I asked Ava.
Ava nodded, "I understand though. I always have, always will".
I took out my wallet. There was a 20 dollar bill. It was the last of my money, but I handed it to her.
"No, keep your money" She tried handing it back.
"Ava. I'm serious, take it".
Ava looked up at me, "Really?".
I smiled, "Yeah, I love you".
Ava hugged me so tight, "Thank you Tyler!".
I hugged her back, "No problem Av's. You have a good time, okay? Call me tomorrow and I'll come get you".
"You won't be drunk this time?" Ava joked.
I punched her shoulder gently, "Get inside. I have to go meet someone".
"Alright. I'll see you later" Ava ran up to the house.
I continued on my way to Damiens house. Just thinking about him made me excited.
