Jess
I started my morning by hearing Ava screaming at Juli. Something about eating her cherry jello Ty got her.
"I can get you more Ava, just get ready for school!" I yelled.
"Fine!".
Juli laughed, then Ava screamed at him again. I got clothes on and went downstairs to make something quick for the kids. I ended up pouring them bowls of cereal.
They both enjoyed it.
I put the kids lunch in their bags.
"Thanks Jess" Ava grabbed her bag.
I hugged her, "You have a good day".
"Sure. Come on Juli!" Ava called out.
Juli ran from the dining room and followed Ava out of the house. Ty came downstairs.
"You just missed the kids," I looked at Ty, "You look like shit".
"I didn't sleep last night" Ty poured a cup of coffee.
"You doing alright?".
Ty nodded, "I guess".
I sighed.
"Celeste and I are going out tonight. She's gonna dye my hair first".
I took a second, "Your dyeing your hair?".
"Yeah".
"Why?" I asked.
Ty shrugged, "I feel like it".
"You sure you're doing alright?".
Ty didn't answer.
"Ty-".
"What? Yeah, I'm fine" Ty drank his coffee.
I sat down on the couch.
Jess
"You know what's going on with Ty?".
Ben
"What's going on with Ty?".
Jess
"He didn't sleep last night, he's dyeing his hair, and he's going out".
Ben
"Seems normal to me. Maybe the not sleeping is weird, but who knows with him. He's really torn up over Aaron".
Jess
"What do I do about it?".
Ben
"I don't know. Just let him express himself".
I took a deep breath. Ty came back downstairs after a minute.
"Hey, new outfit?" I asked.
"Celeste took me shopping a couple days ago. Thought it would take my mind off things" Ty put his empty coffee cup in the sink.
"It's different".
Ty smirked, "That was the point".
He was wearing a band shirt tucked into ripped black skinny jeans. I also noticed a black leather belt, and a brand new pair of Red doc martens.
"Where did you get the money?" I asked.
"Celeste helped, and I had some money saved up from when I worked at the grocery store. I'm thinking about doing some guitar lessons. I wanna play guitar and start a band with Celeste".
I smiled.
"And suddenly Jess isn't worried for once" ty Joked.
