Scarlett was stunned by her answer and looked back at the scene in front of her. At that moment she really wanted to be at a sleepover with a friend.
Christian's glare deepened as he jumped from the balcony onto the stage, the tension in the room palpable. "What is she doing here?" he asked, his voice filled with restrained anger as his gaze shifted to Rowhan. Rowhan stood confidently, his smile cold and calculated. "As I said before, you planned to make my dear brother the Alpha when you gave me your word. You used me—only to get the rule lifted."
The crowd gasped in shock, horrified by the accusation. The murmurs of disbelief grew louder as the weight of Rowhan's words sank in. Allison, who had been sitting silently, watching in confusion, had finally had enough. She stood abruptly, moving towards her family, leaving Scarlett alone at the table with Greyson's friends.
Christian's eyes swept over the crowd, his patience wearing thin. "Everyone out." he commanded, his voice sharp and unyielding. "I'll explain everything when the time is right." Obediently, the guests began to disperse, though not without complaint. Some grumbled about the wasted evening, having dressed up for nothing, while others whispered amongst themselves, speculating about the dark secrets unraveling before them. Trainer exchanged a quick look with Connor and Kai, then turned his attention to Scarlett. He knew the situation was spiraling out of control and wanted to ensure her safety. He gently took her arm and whispered urgently. "Come on, let's get you out of here. Ice cream, remember? Just trust me." Reluctantly, Scarlett stood, casting a worried glance at the stage before following Trainer out of the room.
Rowhan watched her with an amused smirk, his eyes gleaming with malice. "Oh, look at that. His little damsel is leaving. I guess that's a wise decision. It spares her from the mess that's about to unfold."
He turned back to Christian, his expression darkening. "But back to you, Christian. Did you really think you could get away with this? Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice..." His grin widened, vicious and cold. "And I'll take your lover. Tie her up, threaten to kill her if I have to."
Christian's composure snapped as his son, Greyson, slowly stirred awake, his voice sharp. "What is wrong with you?" he barked at Rowhan, frustration thick in his tone. Rowhan merely shrugged, indifferent, his eyes gleaming with cruel amusement. Before Christian could say more, Kai spoke up, his voice filled with confusion. "Christian, how is she alive? I thought... I thought she was dead."
