CHAPTER 25

"Ah Mei, look at that! This outfit looks so cute! This pair of shoes too! Going on a date is the best even if we don't buy anything!"

"Yuzu, you seem to be overly excited today."

"That's because I've completed all my homeworks. And I'm going on a date with you! It would be weird if I'm not excited, wouldn't it!? Anyway, Mei, you haven't been feeling well these days? I was thinking maybe during the trip, I did get too impatient and rushed things?"

"Well that's.."

"That's why! I've decide to be extra hyper today, to cheer you up!"

MEI POV

- Yuzu, you're as thoughtful as always.. sigh

"And since today's the last day of summer break, Lets enjoy to the fullest! You should smile more!"

- instead of you cheering me up.... I will do my best to make you the happiest today... come take my hand love...

"Got it! Where'd we go next?"

"Not sure! I've always dreamt about doing this! A relaxing walk while on a date."

"Eh.. walking aimlessly like this, makes me feel somewhat insecure."

"That is so like you that it makes me relieved. Hey, Mei, do you remember?"

"What?"

"Tomorrow would be our one year anniversary, since the first time we met. Still can't believe it though."

- It is? Yeah, I can't believe it too... and I wish time will stop now... I want to freeze this moment... I want just this time... just this... Yuzu... I want moments like this... alone with you, Yuzu... just with you...

"Anyway, I have thought about this for a while. From now onwards, I will work on my studies as much as being fashionable!"

"Right... so what influenced you this time?"

"I properly thought about it myself! If I want to do a lot of things with you, then I should attend the same university as you."

"You're taking this too lightly. Judging from how you worked on your summer break homework, I can't help but worry about your future. Also, do you really have the dedication, to have less time to fool around?"

"I will balance my time! Leave it to me! I feel like studying can be fun, if I think of it as a way to discover new things!"

- that's so like you too for me.. sigh.. but I really like to think about that too... being in the same university as you my love.. every day will always be fun...

"Hey, Mei! Come here its awesome! Its so beautiful!"

- gasp! yes my love... what's in front of me is so beautiful indeed...

Yuzu and Mei came across a Wedding Expo during their date. They were invited to model some wedding dresses..

"Miss, you look extremely gorgeous! Just as I imagined! Even though today is the last day of our dress fitting event, its been really quiet and boring. But then I found you pretty ladies, and could not help calling out to you two. The photography and services are free of charge too!" said the coordinator who is at the moment checking the fit of the wedding dress to Mei.

"The heels are so tall! Eh, can you really walk down the stairs with these? This is really bad." a worried Yuzu said while going down the stairs to meet Mei.

YUZU POV

- GASP!.. Mei... my Mei... you look stunningly beautiful my love... and I really can't help to think how lucky I am to have someone as smart and as gorgeous as you to be my girlfriend... and yes, hopefully.. to be my wife, someday...

MEI POV

- (jaw dropped, face blushing so hard, heart racing)... gulp!... Yuzu, you literally took my breath away... words cannot express how grateful I am that you chose me to be yours... how did I get so lucky... (teary eyes)

While Yuzu and Mei stare at each other in awe both of them having same red faces, the coordinator call out Yuzu to get some accessory she forgot to include with the dress. Yuzu tease Mei before she went, "Hey Mei, when we do wear them for real, it'd be great if we had matching outfits."

Mei knew that Yuzu isn't joking when she said she would want a matching wedding dress for them. A flood of sadness and pain drowned Mei.

At this moment, all Mei could do was to sit in silence, alone in one area of the room. Crying by herself, thinking of all the "could have been" if she will stay with Yuzu.

- if only I could my love.. I would... Yuzu... (sobbing)
