MEI AIHARA'S POINT OF VIEW

CHAPTER 7

Yuzu prepares the cake for their Christmas party while Harumin's comment lingers in Yuzu's thoughts, "...Yuzu-chi, you'll definitely become a good wife". This is the first time for her making one and she wanted it to be perfect for Mei.

Mei got home with a very heavy heart. She already delegated the student council tasks to Himeko and Maruta-Senpai when Matsuri had deliberately ruined every excitement in Mei on spending Christmas with her new family.

- How can I tell them... this is so depressing...

"Welcome back Mei! Good work in the Student Council. Right now I'm preparing for Christmas eve, so, is there something you'd like to eat? If you have requests I can buy them after school tomorrow." Yuzu is so happy while preparing for the party. "I'm terribly sorry but, I still have work left in the student council. I won't be able to attend your Christmas eve party tomorrow." Mei's heart is breaking from lying to Yuzu.

- I'm so sorry Yuzu... I really want to be with you on Christmas eve... but this b*tch won't let me... ugh this is so... I'll get you for this Matsuri... just you wait...

Before they went to bed, Yuzu still try to convince Mei to attend the Christmas party, just like a child throwing out tantrums. And then Matsuri messaged Yuzu, inviting her on a date on Christmas eve. "Matsuri asking me for a date tomorrow?" as Yuzu read the message. "Yuzu, you should go out with her tomorrow. That girl needs you." Mei orders Yuzu as she leaves to take a bath.

- So that is your game plan you brat... I'll have to think of a way to escape this stupid blind date you put me to...

Come Christmas eve, Yuzu was so disappointed at Matsuri when she learned that she tricked Mei on setting her up on some random blind date with someone they barely know. Good thing Mei got away with the situation peacefully. After the issue was cleared out. Mei, Yuzu and Matsuri went home together. Yuzu fell asleep in Mei's shoulder.

"And you had a fun Christmas?" Mei asks Matsuri sarcastically while on the train on their way home. "Its game over for me, I'm sure Yuzu-chan hates me too, now. Mei-san, you've taken the "little sister" place from me." Matsuri said in defeat.

"My whole life I've also desired affection from others. I felt bitter to the people around me and I closed off my heart. But in this world, you'll sometimes meet meddlesome people who will even without asking will give you the love you need." Mei shares with Matsuri. "But to do all this to preach to me is too reckless. What would you have done if that man took you forcefully" Matsuri said with a down heart. "I was prepared to accept anything that will happen. I... I wanted to know how Yuzu felt about me. Just like you, right?" Mei turns her head away from Matsuri to hide her crimson face from what seems to be her confession of her feelings for Yuzu.

- I really want to know Yuzu... because to me, its becoming clear that I... I am beginning to like you... not just as a person or as a stepsister... but more of the "like" in a romantic way... I hope you feel the same way towards me... even though.. I know this will hurt us eventually...

At the Aihara apartment, while sitting on the couch, Mei is having the cake that Yuzu made, "Mei, I'm deeply sorry about today. I hurt both you and Matsuri. I'm the worst." Yuzu is tearing up. "Just promise me this Mei, don't ever do something that might hurt yourself again! If anything is up, talk to me about it" Yuzu is really concerned about Mei.

- Okay Yuzu... but are you sure you can take what I am going to say to you...

"In that case..." Mei raise and leans towards Yuzu. Yuzu getting nervous of what Mei is going to do having in mind all the advances that Mei has done towards her. Mei continues while placing Yuzu's had on her chest "Can you hear what my heart is saying? Yuzu, inside of me when it concerns my feelings for you, I have a part that's "good" but also a part that's "bad", knowing that do you still want to take a peek inside of me?" Mei's hand is shaking, she can feel her heart racing almost leaping out of her chest.

- SHIT! I've said it!.. I have confessed, haven't I? its a confession right?... my gosh I feel like I'm going to pass out... my heart and mind are going crazy... Yuzu.. please say something...

"Wh-what's gotten into you Mei?" Yuzu asked, still cannot comprehend what Mei means.

- (jaw dropped) seriously Yuzu???... are you really that dense? or just an idiot? I am pouring my heart out here you dummy...

Mei continues to try her very best to have her feelings reach Yuzu. Mei is not used at being romantic or cheesy or anything. But in order for Yuzu to understand... "I'm grateful to you. You did a lot for my grandfather, and for me with my father. That's why I should repay you with what you've been desiring." Mei starts removing her necktie, then unbutton her blouse, leaving her almost half naked body.. "You want it right" she asks exposing herself to Yuzu.

- I don't care anymore... I want you to take me Yuzu... I want you to feel how I appreciate everything that you've done to me... although this tension is really killing me... and this is so embarrassing for me... but for you, Yuzu, I will swallow my pride...

"I'm sorry... I can't do it." Yuzu down heartedly rejects Mei's offer.

- I... I don't know what to say... I got rejected... she denies me... she doesn't like me?... my heart... I can feel my heart being shattered into pieces... it hurts...
