Kuroo painstakingly explain to Bokuto how to properly hold his fingers on veggies when he cuts them so he doesnt chop his fingers off, telling him about how he should move the knife and how his fingertips should be tucked.

And Bokuto nods, paying very close attention, so much attention that Kuroo thinks he's got it, so he hands him the knife so he can try, and Bokuto takes it, nods to himself, grips the veggie like Kuroo taught him—right before hardening his hand and slamming the knife all over the place on the cutting board.

"I can see why you like cooking, it's very therapeutic," he says when he's done obliterating a carrot, unaware of the fact that he has a misshapen piece of carrot stuck to his cheek.

Kuroo is so taken by surprise he doesn't know whether to laugh or kick him out of the kitchen.
