Chloe glanced at Danny, shooting him a small smile as he sat beside her on the bed, watching her closely as she fed Freyja. Her heart pounded against her chest, like it always did when she fed her baby, the strong bond between the two of them increasing every moment that she spent with her daughter. Freyja glanced at Danny for a moment as she continued to feed, her eyes quickly darting back to her mother.

"I love you so much little baby." she whispered, softly stroking Freyja's arm with her finger. Danny smiled as he watched the two of them, his heart surging with pride at how beautiful and amazing Chloe was. Despite the fact that she'd been afraid of becoming a mother, she had quickly adapted to the situation and it was clear how much the two of them adored each other.

Chloe smiled at Freyja when she eventually released her breast, staring up at her mother as she slowly covered herself back up. Her eyes wandered to Danny as she sat against the headboard, gently resting Freyja against her chest so that she could burp her. She sighed to herself as her mind wandered to Lee and how, despite the fact that her confidence had grown since having her baby, she still felt self conscious whenever she was feeding Freyja in front of him.

"What are you thinking about?" Danny asked her, frowning to himself when he noticed that her cheeks were colouring.

"Just that I'm really self conscious when I feed Freyja in front of Lee." she admitted, sniggering to herself when he turned over onto his front and rested his chin on her lap, gazing up at her through his deep green eyes.

"You've only done it a few times though haven't you, I'm sure you'll get used to it." he replied, shooting her a small sympathetic smile.

"It's weird how I don't feel self conscious around you though." she said thoughtfully.

"We've always been completely comfortable around each other though haven't we." he pointed out. Chloe nodded in agreement  shooting him a small smile.

"It's probably because we lived rough together." he said thoughtfully, smiling at her when her eyes twinkled at him.

"And because you understand me in a way that other people don't." she stated, watching him closely as he nodded slowly, his gaze still fixed on her. She smiled at him, still not quite able to understand why he was the only person apart from her parents that she'd ever felt completely comfortable around. He had a way of making her feel so relaxed and content and like he was never judging her.

Danny sighed to himself, swallowing the lump that rising in his throat as he stared at her, not quite able to tear his eyes away from her beauty. He knew in his heart that the more time he spent with Chloe, the more he was beginning to fall for her. Whenever he gazed at her lips, he found himself longing to plant a soft kiss on them.

"I think I'm falling for you Chloe." he whispered, slowly tracing circles on her leg. Chloe stared at him, not entirely sure how to respond. Even though she knew that she felt something for Danny, she had no idea whether she felt the same way about him as he did about her. After everything that had happened with Lee, she wasn't entirely sure if she would ever be able to bring herself to open her heart to anyone ever again.

"It's okay, you don't have to say anything." he said quietly, instantly picking up on the way that she was feeling.

"I just don't think that I can ever be with anyone again." she started, her stomach churning with guilt when she instantly realised how disappointed he was.

"It's okay Chloe, I understand." he said quietly, swallowing the lump that was rising in his throat.

"The truth is, I'm better off single. Then I don't have to worry about being cheated on again. I've only dated three people and all of them cheated on me." she pointed out, sighing sadly to herself.
