Chloe glanced at her watch as she hurried along the hallway at the recording studio. Her heart pounded against her chest when she noticed Lee sitting at the piano, his back to her, as he gently cradled Freyja in his arms. She watched him closely, leaning against the door frame, not quite able to tear her eyes away from the father of her baby.

Lee smiled to himself as he held his baby girl in his arms, not quite able to tear his eyes away from her. Whenever he looked into her deep blue eyes he was captivated, his heart bursting with pride and love for his beautiful baby girl.

"I am going to miss you so much baby girl." he said quietly, softly stroking her arm with his thumb. He sighed deeply, wishing once again that he could turn the clock back. He'd have given anything to have his family back, to be by Chloe's side, so that he could spend every waking moment with her and their daughter.

"I am so sorry baby girl, it really wasn't meant to be this way, Daddy is an idiot and he's really messed up." he muttered.

"I never wanted to destroy our little family." he continued.

"And I never wanted to hurt your Mum the way that I have." he added, sighing sadly to himself, the thought of Chloe's heart breaking in two because of something that he'd done to her, causing him to feel sick to his stomach.

"But I've messed up too much, and I don't think she is ever going to forgive me." he continued.

"I had someone that was so amazing and out of my league and I let her slip through my fingers." he sighed, biting the inside of his lip to try and fight the tears that were filling his eyes.

"I don't know how I'm ever going to get over your Mum." he admitted, glancing at Freyja for a moment as she stared up at him happily. He sniffed quietly to himself, no longer able to hold back the tears that were filling his eyes. His gaze was fixed on his daughter, softly stroking her cheek with his fingertips.

Chloe sighed to herself, her heart breaking a little as she watched him closely, suddenly realising how devastated he was at the thought of being parted from his daughter. Before she could stop herself, she walked towards him, pausing for a moment when she stood behind him, gently placing her hand on his shoulder. He continued crying quietly to himself, not even reacting to her touch. Chloe sighed, slowly moving to stand in front of him, shooting him a small reassuring smile when he finally glanced up at her.

"Everything will be okay." she said softly, not quite able to stand seeing him hurting. Even though she knew that she was no longer in love with him, she still felt a deep sense of sadness that he was suffering.

"No it won't, I can't lose you both. You're my everything" he said quietly.

"Don't worry, you won't lose Freyja. I wouldn't do that to you." she said quietly.

"I promise." she added softly when he remained silent.

"That wasn't what I meant." he said eventually, swallowing the dry lump that was rising in his throat.

"She won't have a family life like we had growing up, and that's all my fault. I took that away from her when I did what I did." he said sadly, his heart breaking at the thought that he'd managed to hurt his child.

"I know that, but I won't ever take her away from you." she repeated, shooting him a small reassuring smile.

"I know you wouldn't do it intentionally, but it will happen one day when you meet someone else and he will be in her life everyday and I won't. She deserves a proper family and we can't give her that." he said sadly.

"It won't be like that, she won't miss out on anything, we'll both still love her just as much." she countered.

"We will have to just take in turns at Christmas and things as well." she continued. He nodded slowly, swallowing the dry lump that was rising in his throat.
