*Six Months Later*

"Babe, do you have my small bag?"

"It's already in the car with the others, do you need it?!" Joe yells up the stairs to her.

"No, I just didn't want to forget it," she says, jogging down the stairs and grinning at him.

He chuckles. "Ready to go?"

She nods. "Did Ellie come pick up Porky?"

"Yeah, while you were in the shower," he replies.

"Okay, ready to go then?"

He raises a brow. "The real question is, are you ready to go to Japan for the first time."

She smiles. "I'm so excited."

He chuckles. "Let's go!"

The two of them make their way to the car, buckling up and starting towards the airport.

"How ya feeling?" Joe asks.

"I'm okay, I still feel weird not working, though."

He chuckles. "I still can't believe that the restaurant closed. They've been open forever."

Addison nods. "I know. It sucks."

"But hey," he says, pausing and leaning towards her. "Now that you don't work, we get to spend more time together. You can travel with me a bit more and everything. It'll be fun."

"Fun?" she asks, giving him a look. "You know I loved working."

"I know you did," he nods. "But there's nothing wrong with not working. I've got us. We're in great finances, you have savings put away."

She sighs. "I know, I know. I don't know if I can stay out of work forever though."

He chuckles, nodding.

Once getting off the plane, Joe and Addison settle in their hotel, taking a short nap before getting up and going to grab some dinner.

A few days later, the two of them have had some time to enjoy Japan as well as DNCE enjoying playing for their fans as well.

They had a few meet and greets, where Addison stayed backstage and waited for Joe to be done before they would go back to the hotel and spend some quality time together.

As the two of them relax, a few of the DNCE team members sit in another room, gossiping as they tend to do when they have a bit of time.

"So what do you guys think?" one of the members asks, setting a card down on the table as they play some game they had made up themselves.

"About?" another asks.

"Joe and Addison." the first answers.

"What about them?" a girl asks, raising her eyebrows.

"Do you think they'll actually make it?"

"They've been together this long, there's no reason to believe they'd break up now."

"Not unless there's a freak accident or something," one of them says, chuckling.

"I don't know. I mean, I think they're good together and everything. But are they really long term?" one says, squinting towards the rest.

"They've been together for over a year and you don't think they could be long term?"

"I mean, don't you think she might end up resenting him? She moved far away from her job and got a new one and then her work shut down so now she doesn't have a job. She loved working and now she can't."

"I mean, she could find a new restaurant."

"She didn't want a new restaurant, she wanted the one she was already working at."

"She made that decision. No one else made it for her."

"I don't know, I just feel like something's gonna happen."

"They'll be fine." one of the girls says, rolling her eyes.

"I wouldn't be so sure... I feel a storm blowing it."

'"It's called you're a dumbass," she responds, laughing before leaving the room to go to bed.

"I mean maybe she's right, maybe they will be fine," one of the guys says, shrugging. "They do have really good communication, they love each other. I mean, they've been spending a lot of time with each other's families. They have a dog."

"A dog? That's why you think they'll be okay?"

"No, I'm just saying, they've created a life together. Two people don't just give up on each other that easily when they've put that much effort into a relationship. They have things to hold on to. They don't wanna just throw in the towel and say fuck it."

"Yeah but sometimes the bad can overcome the good."

"You sound like a villain that never got his happy ending. Goodnight." the last guy at the table says, getting up and leaving the one that started the conversation by himself.

this is such a short chapter and I'm sorry but it's really just a filler
