"Are you sure you're ready for this?" Hope asks, the facetime call coming to its end.

"Yes, Hope. I'm ready. I need to know my parents. I haven't spent the past week busting my ass researching and working along with still unpacking the last of mine and Joe's things just to wait even longer when I already have these leads!" Addison insists.

Hope nods. "Okay. Well, I'm with you. I'll see you tomorrow when I pick you up from the airport."

"See you tomorrow," Addison says happily, winking and hanging up and finishing up her packing.

She had asked Judith if she could have the week off. Yes, she had been traveling an hour back and forth to work since she had moved. She wanted to keep working until she was hired by another restaurant. Anyways, Judith had given her permission, not having any reason not to as Addison has always been one of her best workers. No call outs, well except for that one time her family kidnapped her way back when. No excuses, extra shifts, coverings, staying late, coming in early. She had no complaints towards Addison. A week off was no big deal. In fact, she earned it.

After packing her things, Addison showers and gets ready for bed, her phone ringing just as she crawls under the covers.

Addison grins, answering the FaceTime call immediately.

"Hey beautiful."

"Hey handsome," she smiles. "How was the crowd tonight?"

He smiles, letting out a breath. "Loud."

"Just the way it should be."

"Amen," he chuckles.

She laughs lightly. "I'm glad you're having fun, babe."

"It would be even more fun if you were here," he winks.

Addison rolls her eyes, still grinning. "I'm actually taking a little trip though."

He gives her a look. "Where to?"

"Texas," she shrugs. "I'm gonna go see Hope for a couple days."

He nods. "That's a good idea, there ya go!"

She smiles, nodding. "Yeah, I'm excited. I've been missing her too."

He grins. "Well, I think it's a great idea. I'm glad you're doing it."

"Thanks, babe," she grins, making a cute face.

"I can't wait to come home to that face," he notes.

She grins, not knowing how to answer.

After Joe and Addison had finished talking for the night, they hang up and Addison goes to bed, needing to get up early to catch her flight.

The next morning, Addison awakes early, grabbing her backs and allowing the driver Joe left the number to drive her to the airport.

Grabbing a coffee at the airport Starbucks, she takes a seat where she'll be boarding and checks her social media.

3 hours later, Addison walks off the plane, looking around desperately to find her best friend.

"Addison!"

She turns, a wide smile appearing as she quickly makes her way to Hope, dropping her carry-on bag and engulfing her in a hug.

"Me too!" Addison smiles. "Ready for Austin."

"You bet!" Hope nods. "But let's go grab your suitcase first."

"Good idea," Addison laughs and they make their way towards the luggage pick-up.
