This was it. I was going to exploit Stella Evans for good.
I had a dream last night, no, a nightmare about Emerus. :
I was in a big vast room. It's floors covered in elegant and rich red rugs, the walls were enriched by picture frames and there was this rich fragrance roaming around the room...hmm...chocolate.
I was sleeping in a bed, when I touched the covers, they were satin and comfortable. The bed was so soft that I couldn't help but relax, forgetting where I was. I began stirring at the smell of the beautiful dessert.
"Oh, darling. I never knew you were fond of chocolate."
I shot up, erupted out of my dream. When I opened my eyes, I saw an amused Emerus standing in a white suit, looking heartbreakingly gorgeous. He was leaning by the doorway as if he had just entered the room. "Finally, you are awake from your beauty sleep."
I took a long look around my surroundings...where the hell is this room located at? Everything was fuzzy and hazy. "Where am I?" I asked, not even bothered that I was breathing in the same atmosphere as the devil.
He cocked a brow. "Take a wild guess."
I rubbed my temples, there was a little headache in my head. "Well, enlighten me."
He moved toward my bed and motioned the windows that I haven't really paid attention until now, as if they haven't existed a minute ago--they revealed itself. Out the windows all I saw was red painted skies and soot covered tall mountains. Black hawks danced around waiting for game.
I gasped. "Is this your idea of a romantic getaway?" I spoke in disgust. He had brought me to Blood Caves: the prison of the Hunters and their brethen.
Now he was definitely aroused. "Well, if you needed me to romance you, it doesn't matter where we are." He climbed on top of me as I scooted away from him. He wasn't fazed, he continued to approach me but I couldn't stop him. Soon, I was lying down on the bed and his head was looming over mine. For the first time in a long time, I got to see his handsome face. His green eyes were full of darker flecks and his beautiful jaw structure--still the same.
Emerus stroked my cheek. "When will you come for a visit?" He murmured. Then he leaned towards my lips but I turned away before he could kiss me. Of course, at my resistance, he took advantage of my open and inviting neck where he settled to kiss me.
I tried to push him off but his hands gripped mine in control so I couldn't move. I began to kick like a kid, that was useless.
His voice was silky and smooth. "Diana, your too beautiful to be wasted as a suspect." He whispered achingly. "I promise you, like I have always promised you, come to me, and see how powerful you will be. We could end the Cravers for good. Think about it."
I was quiet, instead of arguing I was trying to escape this nightmare. I focused my attention to get myself out of here. I imagined my bedroom at the hotel...my clothing all messily laid on the floor. I remembered the room attendants cleaning my room with curses for doing the same damn job every day.
