Brenda Lee's POV:

Brenda Lee stepped into the halls of Adison High School.

Another day, another torture, she thought with a lazy sigh. Brenda shouldered her brown messenger bag and followed the flow of the students.

She could here the voices echoing from the auditorium gym, students filing in, being too happy to go late to first period. Some took the pleasure to skip it altogether.

She heard few days ago in the announcements that there would be new students joining the school. Brenda couldn't care any less about them as she took a seat on the front down bleachers.

She was waiting for her friend and she knew that she would be coming in late again. As she saw the students find their friends, her loneliness deepened and anxiousness took over her.

Brenda has been always invisible and today was not any different. Yes, she was pretty, even beautiful but that didn't mean guys were lining up in front of her mansion. She hardly felt beautiful. It was her timidness and meekness that kept her away from the usual crowd. In fact, the students were more willing to take advantage of her rather than have a small talk.

Her striking blue eyes searched the crowd for her only friend. But the bell was about to ring and she wasn't walking in.

She did notice Jake Evans, the heartbreaker of the school walk in, in the nick of time, he caught her eyes and stopped. For a brief second, she lost her breath at his momentary gaze. His green eyes flashed with warm intensity. It was troubling for her to be noticed by someone as handsome of Jake Evans. She didn't want to be the first one to break the contact. So he did, taking his eyes a step above, resting them at the popular girls. With that, he continued walking in the direction of his friends.

Weird, she tried to get the image of his face out of her mind even though it bloomed impossible thoughts in her. Instead, she counted the seconds before her only friend, Nellie to show up.

She heard a loud laughter behind her. When she turned, she wasn't surprised to see the owner of the voice. Stella Evans. The queen of the ruling class. Stella caught her staring and she shot a demure look back, her glassy green sloe-eyes shone with vibrancy.

Blushing, Brenda covered her face with her dark hair and resumed to wait for the speaker.

Finally before the Principal started talking, Nellie showed up, a flush in her cheeks. "Brenda!" she waved and took a seat by her.

"Where were you?" Brenda said in a concerned tone, Nellie's lips were pinker, a flush in her cheeks.

She buried her face in her sweater, her cheeks glistening brighter. "I was with someone, that's all." She murmured.

Brenda knew who this someone was. Her boyfriend. They've been ditching class no, spending class time in the custodian lockers. "You'll get caught if you're not too careful. If the principal finds out about it..." She didn't need to remind the prestige this school held so any scandalous behavior from the students would be a major punishment.

"I know. I know." She rolled her eyes. "But you won't know what love is till you find it. And I found it, Lee. He drives me crazy," she sighed, lost in her merriment. "He makes me want to do things, I wouldn't do."

Principal Kendey began her speech. Which was a breather since Brenda didn't want to hear the mysterious boyfriend of Nellie.

Brenda huffed and counted the minutes before the strict principal stopped talking.

Diana Holland POV

It's not like I haven't been to school or anything. I was a high school student few years ago. Yes, I was friends with the snobbiest French girls and boys but nonetheless, I had had the taste of the socialite life. But the thought of going back to back-stabbing friends, classes and all those school dramas overwhelmed me.
