"Welcome Students of Adison! Sorry for this emergency assembly. We have some security and safety issues that have come up to our attention. But before that, I also want you guys to join me in this wonderful welcome. Yep, some of you guys guessed it. It's another walk of honor because a new student is joining us today!"
A confused and bored mass of students clapped lightly. Some of the girls knew who was coming to school because they have seen the boy and talked to him out of school. For what reason, I don't know.
"Please welcome. Kingsley Scott!"
Oh, yay...
There was a certain cockiness in his stride--alluring. You couldn't help but watch how he took his steps: measured yet playful. His had a captivatin essence. With first glance, the girls behind me whistled low at his heavenly looks. Dark hair, blue piercing eyes, a perfectly shaped jaw--enough to turn anyone heads over heels.
"Damnnnn. He's hot." Amy drawled beside me.
I nodded meekly.
"I so call dibs on him."
Now...I hated her.
Kingsley eyed the crowd with wickedness and I felt girls externally swoon, some even made it so obvious.
Out of the crowd, his eyes somehow met mine and I felt my cheeks blush. He didn't break his contact. Knowing what passed between us last weekend, made me even more nervous. That freaking almost kiss!
"Gents and Ladies," he winked at the girls. And they laughed. "I'm humble enough to share this experience with you guys. Ladies, my pockets are empty and I wouldn't mind meeting few of you soon."
Principal Kendey cleared her throat in discomfort. "Anything else, you would like to say Kingsley? Like where you are from?"
"Nope." He spoke easily. "Much love to all you babes out there."
Ugh, whatever. I stood up when the principal hurriedly finished off some safety precautions. Amy fanned herself. "He's so hot. I can stare at his eyes for years."
I crossed my arms over my chest. "I don't know." A tinge of jealousy formed in my gut. "He looks like a player."
She scoffed. "No derr. Look at his face...hmm. he has a damn fine body. Nobody can resist him. The way he walks, oh, you can totally see that he sleeps with few girls every week."
Annoyed, I walked faster to go to my class. I knew already people were going to talk about him. I wouldn't surprised if this lasted for another week. Amy, confused, joined Stella's side to gossip about Kingsley.
I made it to English and went through my phone for messages. The teacher began collecting homework, but I totally blew that over the top of my head. Plus, I wasn't actually here to be an A plus student, my job was to disintegrate a known killer.
Of course, ever the attention seeker, Kingsley arrived late. He was wearing a pair of dark jeans and a black long sleeved shirt from Calvin Klein. His eyes were brighter against the darker colors of his outfit. He surveyed the room dismissively.
Mr. Ronan lifted his glasses up. "And you are?"
"I'm Kingsley," he introduced himself. "I'm a new addition to your class."
"I see," the teacher sighed lazily. "Go on. Sit where ever you want."
Shocking. There were three seats open in the class, including the one beside me. And which one did he choose?
His mouth lifted up, and I watched him sit beside me.
Great. I would love to avoid him.
He sat down, setting his backpack on the floor. "Hey."
