The cave was dark and the tunnel was lit with fire torches. The smell of mildew was overpowered by the pull of the strong magic that has been vibrating from corner to corner. Edge to edge.

John Perry looked wasted in his dirty suit and pants.

"What brings you here?" The Gate Keeper asked.

Perry didn't answer. He seemed like a broken man... as if he lost everything. "It's time isn't it?"

The Gate Keeper nodded, he knew John was coming. "This way." He led him to the end of the tunnel, which seemed like forever till they made it.

John Perry followed swiftly. He kicked on the nearest rocks as he watched the Gate Keeper disappear in the darkness. He was wearing a dark robe, out of the medieval times. For he has never seen light of day. For he was committed to protecting the Gate that held one of the doors to hell...Blood Caves.

With a sigh, John submitted into the darkness as the man led him to the door. "I feel trouble." He said, trying to be sarcastic but there was nothing to joke about. The time has come.

The Keeper scoffed. "You don't say." He motioned to the door. The hidden door that has been constructed prior to the Great Fall of the Guardians, one of the doors that secured demons from escaping to the earth. If it was broken, than hell would rise. "Try for yourself." He stepped back. "It's been spelling doom's day since day one."

John shook the latch. It was loose, he thought. Just as he had predicted. And there was weariness at the edges of the door....as if something was pushing to break free.

His heart clenched. He had left the Coven few days ago to make a trip to Rome, to find the door and close it back again. And he didn't know who he should pity. It was maddening. For, he was Adonael, meaning archangel. He was the leader of the Guardians of Haven. And he let them down.

"Why wait then?" he sighed and started conjuring a spell, with a determined glanced to the Keeper he spoke. "Evil doesn't wait after all."
