*NAZLI*

Ferit and I tried restaurant hunting for the past two days but I didn't like any of them. All the restaurants were either too fancy or too suffocating. To be honest, I felt like Ferit was going to give up on our marriage because he was extremely frustrated with me for the past two days. I just couldn't settle on any random restaurant...

He was already treating me like his slave and I was pissed off by that too. It had been just a week since I met him and I was fed up already. The bossy Ferit Aslan. The ruthless workaholic and playboy. I hated him. But I wondered what he was like when he was a kid. Who was the woman who hurt him so bad?

"Nazli?" I turned my head to face dad but stared back at the TV. I hadn't talked to him much after he betrayed me. He sat down next to me with a bright smile. "Are you angry at me?" "How could you do this to me?" I asked back and he sighed. "I still can't understand what's so wrong with Ferit" "Everything is wrong about him" I mumbled to myself and stared back at the TV.

I wanted to tell dad a lot of things. Ferit is the man I hate the most in this world. He is the first man I slapped. And he is probably going to make me suffer for that soon. He nearly seduced me in his kitchen yesterday and he already treats me like his slave. He would do anything for his job, he would make me cry and curse. He would...

Hence everything about him was wrong. But I couldn't tell that to my dear father.

"Did you find any restaurant today?" I shook my head. "Well Ferit cancelled a meeting to go restaurant hunting with you" Dad said with emphasis. As if Ferit had just killed a dragon for me. I stared at him, barely affected by his comment.

"No restaurant can beat yours" I said and dad fell silent for a minute. "That's true... I miss that place... And your mom" He said and I glanced at him then. That restaurant was special to our family but its been years since I went there. It might've gotten buried under Istanbul's skyscrapers by now. So unfortunate.

*FERIT*

"Alright then, we'll continue with the meeting tomorrow" I said and got up from my chair. Zeynep and the others nodded and left the room. "Ferit..." Mr.Nihat turned to me, "Hmm?" "Can we have lunch together?" He smiled at me and I was slightly shocked. "Uh... Nazli had said that we would... uh... Meet at a restaurant now... She still hasn't found the ideal place" I replied.

"Call her and tell her you can't come. I need to talk a few important things with you" He said and I nodded. He walked outside the board room and I called Nazli, "You can't do that! We need to check the restaurants. If it was something related to your business then you would've done it immediately. Since it's about me, you aren't even moving a finger to do anything! I bet you are going out with some model..." She trailed off grumbling curses.

"I'm having lunch with your father. And even if I was going to have lunch with a model why do you care? Are you jealous honey?" I grinned to myself, "Keep your fantasies to yourself Ferit Aslan. I won't be jealous for your sake in a million years. I feel pity for all the women that you've tortured" "You won't feel much pity when you cross my bed in the near future-" I smirked.

She hung up then and I couldn't help chuckling.

Mr.Nihat was waiting outside the building. We got into my car and I drove to the address that he mentioned. I stopped my car outside a curve and we got out. A small building was before us, it had a lot of plants but it was closed. I glanced at Mr.Nihat who seemed to be lost staring at it for a long time. He walked in and I followed quietly.

He touched the handle of the glass door as if he was cherishing the dust on it. "Uh... Mr.Nihat?" He turned his attention to me then, "Nazli will love it if you buy this place" "Was this a restaurant?" I asked him and he nodded. "This was the place where I met my wife... Nazli's mother" He took a deep breath as his eyes wandered around the building.

I figured that this place was emotionally important for the Pinars. Also, the restaurant did seem to fit Nazli's standards of 'open and free'. She's been driving me crazy for the past two days because she can't find the ideal place. There was a board hanging outside the restaurant with a phone number and I took a picture of it.

I would call the owner and buy it from him, this might just help me get in Nazli's good books. Not that I was desperate for it, but it would reduce her stubbornness probably. We left the restaurant and headed down the road to stop for lunch. Mr.Nihat talked about business and Nazli. We ended up chuckling when he narrated one of Nazli's adventure's as a little girl.

We headed back to the company and Mr.Nihat turned to face me, "Aren't you coming?" "No... I need to be somewhere now" I replied. He nodded and shook my hand before returning inside the building. My mother would arrive tonight and there were a few things that I had to handle before she came.

I found Ferit calling me in the evening and I answered with a sigh, "What?" "You are really starting to get on my nerves Nazli. Is this how you start a conversation with your future husband?" He groaned. "You could've found someone else to marry then. Someone who is always patient to listen to your nonsense" I replied, "Do you think that it's hard for me to find a woman?" He asked back but I didn't reply.

"Nazli, women worship at my feet, if you hadn't noticed" I could feel him grin through the phone. The woman from last day popped in my head, she had the nerve to call Ferit hers. I was his fiance and no other woman could replace that. "Why did you call me now?" I asked him frustrated. "My mother will be here tonight" he replied.

"Mrs.Leman?" "Yeah... So I'll come pick you up by seven" He replied. "But what will I tell your mother? I don't even know her! She'll definitely freak out when she meets me... What will I wear?" "Nazli" His calm voice made me stop panicking. "You're perfect, if that's what you're trying to say. Just wear something that defines yourself okay? I'll see you soon" And he hung up.

His words still replayed in my head. Ferit Aslan-- the most handsome man that I had seen-- just called me perfect. There was a strange feeling in my tummy and I sighed to calm my beating heart.
