*FERIT*
Nazli and I barely talked the past week.
To be honest, none of us really bothered to. I've been trying to make peace with her for a long time now and I'm fed up of trying. I guess even she felt the same because she never called me after our fight.
But what annoyed me the most was her spending time with Zeynep and Bulut. Demir would show me pictures of them outside and messing around with shopping bags. Anyway I was relieved that Deniz and Nazli never spent time together anymore. Our marriage was today so I didn't have to bother much about that either.
"What are they doing in there?" I glanced at my watch and sighed, Demir and Engin chuckled. "Since Zeynep is with them, I'm not surprised that they are taking this long" "Even Fatosh" Engin added and we turned towards him. "Is another wedding on the way?" Demir nudged him as a sly smile played on his lips, "We're taking things slow" He chuckled.
Mr.Nihat beckoned to me then and I walked over to him, "Ferit, isn't your mother coming?" "She was feeling sick Mr.Nihat... So probably not" I replied. "Is everything alright with her?" "She's fine... Nothing too bad" I put on a brave smile. But I knew the truth, mom wouldn't come to my wedding because she despised me and Nazli.
I didn't give a damn whether she came or not. She made my life a living hell and I didn't need her around today.
Zeynep and Fatosh came outside then, grinning at everyone. "She's coming" Zeynep beamed at me and I turned towards the stairs with a sigh.
Time to welcome my wife.
*NAZLI*
People clapped as I walked down the stairs, my heart thumping loudly inside me. Only a few faces were familiar in the crowd, and to my shock Deniz and Asuman just came up to the yard. She wore a big grin as usual. My father was standing near Tarik, clapping and blinking away his tears. I would love to jump into his arms and hug him as tightly as I could now.
Fatosh and Engin were standing next to each other, clapping and beaming at me. Bulut was brimming with excitement, giggling and clapping frantically as Demir struggled to hold him in his arms next to Zeynep whose expressions were quite similar to my father's.
Lastly, stood before me stood the man I was betrothed to. Ferit wore a stunning tuxedo that aligned well with his muscular frame. His stubble looking manlier than ever, but the way he gazed at me sent sparks trough my entire body. His chocolate eyes had turned darker, his tongue grazing his lower lip as he scanned me head to toe in the dirtiest way possible.
My cheeks were already warming up as he held out his hand, and I placed mine in his. He brought my hand to his lips, kissing it softly without breaking eye contact. The flashes of a few cameras around us was nearly invisible in this moment.
We sat down at the table and all the voices around me went numb. My heartbeat was the only sound audible to me. The glances that Ferit gave me left me dazed, but I made sure to not give him high hopes. The excitement in the faces of everyone present around me was too overwhelming.
The way dad bravely tried to hide his nervousness by stuffing his hands in his pocket and adjusting his tie at times as if it was the most normal thing to do. He could have an emotional breakdown any moment. And the look on Zeynep's face, her hands clasped near her chest as if she was preventing her heart from jumping out due to the excitement. And the grim line that drew across Deniz's mouth. His eyes fixed on my face, telepathically trying to tell me to dump Ferit made me all the more stubborn to marry him.
"Do you Nazli Pinar, take this man to be your husband?" The official asked me and I snapped out of my thoughts. The look on Ferit's eyes couldn't get any warmer that instant, "Yes" I replied. My body was near to trembling now. "And do you Ferit Aslan, take Nazli as your wife?" "Yes" He replied, taking a moment to smile at me. "You may sign here" He passed us the marriage register and I signed followed by Ferit.
