They stared at each other for a moment. Lilith stared into the camera Loki had looked into earlier. She knew her dad was watching her, listening in. She tapped her earpiece and asked for the monitor the team was watching to be shut off.
"So, little girl. You disobey your father's wishes yet again. You know he'll be angry with you for being left unsupervised with a heathen like me."
"That's alright, he'll forgive me. Besides, there are other cameras." The god smirked at her from his cage.
"So," the god said, slightly eager to hear what the girl had to say, "what happens now?"
"Now you talk to me. And I listen. Sometimes I'll talk, and you'll listen. Just a conversation between two people."
"You're not afraid?"
"No."
"Why not?" Lilith sighed and shook her head, exasperated.
"Because I don't have to be. Because I believe you wouldn't hurt me, cell or no cell," She said, gesturing to the glass box he stood in, "Because I believe that there's good in everyone, even you." He stared at her, surprised, maybe, that she was so calm in the face of such a mighty, angry, violent god.
"You don't know that."
"True," she said, pulling a chair away from a desk and towards his cage, sitting down, "but I'm out here, and you're in there. So if anyone in this room is in danger, it's you."
"Fair enough. What do you want, little girl?"
"For you to call me by my name, first of all."
"Fine. What do you want from me, Lilith?" The way he said her name made her skin crawl. She sucked in a breath and ignored the lingering goosebumps that had formed under the sleeves of her suit.
"I want to talk about feelings, please."
"Well," Loki said with a mischievous grin on his cheeks and an amused glint in his eyes, "I am in danger."

"Don't you understand?" The god was shouting. It had been a difficult two hours of trying to get him to open up to her, and Lilith was at the end of her rope.
"No, I don't understand! Please, by all means, enlighten me."
"Some people can't be fixed, Lilith!" He slammed his fists against the glass of his containment cell.
"Lilith?"
"We're good," she spoke to her father through her ear piece, "just a little frustrated is all." She turned back to Loki, his fists and forehead resting against his cage, his breath creating a small cloud on the glass.
"Okay, Loki, okay. We're done for today. I'm sorry I yelled at you." She took a few tentative steps forward towards the cell.
"Lilith," Her dad warned in her ear, watching once again from the monitor in the main hub with the rest of the team. She ignored him and got closer to the god.
He looked up as she placed her hands against the glass. He uncurled his fists and Placed his hands against hers. Almost touching. Almost if not for the glass. For a moment she thought she saw a glint of sadness in the Loki's strikingly blue eyes.
"It's going to be okay, Loki. I promise." The god slammed his fists into the glass again, roaring at the girl.
"No it won't! You don't understand, you'll never understand!"
"I'm going to try, though."
"Get out."
"I-"
"Get OUT!" Lilith nodded and gathered her things, leaving the holding room and into the lab where the team was waiting for her.
Tony wrapped his daughter in his arms, "Lilith..."
"I know it was stupid. I just want to help him, Dad."
"You can't fix every broken soul you meet."
"No. But I can try," Her lip quivered. She didn't want to cry.
"Chin up kiddo," Tony said.

Loki paced back and forth in his cell, thinking.
"That girl is going to be the death of me," he muttered to himself. He raked his hands through his hair and sighed. He was exhausted and his throat was raw from shouting so much earlier. He shuddered at the memory of her bright green eyes boring into his own when she had stood mere inches away from the glass of his containment cell. He made his way to the place where her finger prints were still stuck to the glass and placed his hand in line with them.
He pulled his hand away, quickly realizing that his actions made him look foolish. He saw movement in his peripheral and snapped his attention towards it, "There's not many people that can sneak up on me," he said casually, turning to face the red headed woman that had entered the holding room.
"But you figured I'd come," Natasha assumed.
"After. After whatever tortures Fury could concoct, after whatever trauma's Lilith could pull out of me, You would appear as a friend, as a balm. And I would cooperate."
"I wanna know what you've done to Agent Barton."
"I've expanded his mind."
"And once you've won. Once you're king of the mountain. What happens to his mind?"
"Is this love, Agent Romanoff?"
"Were you mumbling about Lilith when I walked in, God of Mischief?" Natasha fired back, holding her ground, refusing to let him seize the upper hand, "Love is for children. I owe him a debt."
"Tell me." Natasha rolled her eyes and sat in the chair Lilith had dragged to face the glass earlier.
"Before I worked for shield, I uh... I made a name for my self. I have a very specific skill set. I didn't care who I used it for, or on. I got on shield's radar in a bad way. Agent Barton was sent to kill me. He made a different call."
"And what will you do if I vow to spare him?" The god's tone was coy, as if he expected to bargain with the Black Widow.
"Not let you out," Nat said coolly.
"Ah, no, but I like this. Your world in balance, and you bargain for one man?"
"Regimes fall everyday. I tend not to weep over that. I'm Russian... or was." The god smirked at the woman. She knew exactly what she was doing. And yet... he knew just how to get under her skin. He grinned wider, anticipating the sick and delicious glee that would follow ripping the red head to pieces with only his words.
"What is it you want?"
"It's really not that complicated. I've got red in my ledger, I'd like to wipe it out." This was going to be glorious.
