"So, you're just trying to help those people? and Bucky didn't hurt anyone on purpose?"
"And that's only the watered down verion," Lilith sighed, "I don't understand why my father is deadset on stopping us from saving people from being turned into weapons. You'd think he'd be a little more empathetic. Point being, there was no reason for this whole thing," she gestured to the tarmac outside the window where her friends were still fighting eachother. It felt like a scene from a movie, the window acting as a screen between the peaceful conversation with Peter and the violence raging outside.
"Wow. That is... so crazy."
"You got that right, Peter."
"Hey I-" Lilith held up a hand to stop him when something sounded in her ear.
"Lilith where are you? We're on our way to the quinjet. Let's go!" Steve's voice spoke through her ear piece.
"Shit," Lilith rushed towards the window facing the tarmac and watched her team running closer. She was going to have to get down there by the time they were in front of the terminal she was in, "Uh, Spider-Boy? Can I get a lift?" she asked, backing up from the window until she was next to where Peter was standing.
"Yes ma'am. Where to?" Lilith didn't hesitate to sprint forwards and crash through the window, curling into a ball so the glass wouldn't cut her up too bad. She heard Peter yelp in surprise before she saw him, his mask still off as he slung his webs back towards the building and caught her in his free arm, lowering her gently to the pavement just as her team passed.
"Thank you, Spider-Man," she pecked him on the cheek and laughed as she saw his cheeks flush bright red, she ruffled his hair playfully,"Hey, don't get your hopes up, kid. I'm way too old for you." She ran and caught up with Wanda and the others. She almost didn't hear last thing Peter said to her before she was totally out of earshot, but he was loud enough that she caught it in time.
"Good luck, Anarchy!"
"Anarchy?" Wanda questioned from beside the brunette.
"It's something I'm trying out. The kid came up with it," Wanda raised an eyebrow at her friend, "What? He's easy to distract."
"I like it," She complimented, "Tell me about it later?"
"Of course." They were almost there, the quinjet was only about fifty feet away. They had to make it.
But of course, somebody had to intervene.
A beam of light burned a line across their path, stopping them in their tracks. They looked up to see vision, hovering above them, the mind stone set in his forehead still glowing.
"Captain Rogers," He called to the patriot, "I know you believe what you're doing is right," Tony and the other's who had sided with him gathered underneath where Vision was floating, "But for the collective good, you must surrender now." Peter landed gracefully. He waved awkwardly in Lilith's direction. She shook her head in response, a look of worry settling on her features. The two teams were lined up, facing each other in a stand off.
"What do we do, Cap?" Clint asked lowly.
Steve took a deep breath, calming his nerves before responding, "We fight." And with that singular statement, he began to move foreward.
And they followed.
Tony's team began to move towards them too.
"This is gonna end well," Lilith mumbled sarcastically.
Their walk broke into a jog.
"They're not stopping," Lilith heard Peter say as he grew closer with the rest of his team.
