Lilith followed behind Wanda, blades drawn and ready for a fight. But as she saw Ultron lying on the ground, she felt not anger, not fear, but pity. It was sad to see him there, losing. It was pathetic. And she felt bad for him. He had fallen from grace, as all power-hungry men do.

"Wanda," he said, surprise evident in his voice, "And Lilith Stark. Come, sister. Sit with me while I die." Lilith stayed still and silent. This was Wanda's fight, "Fine. Leave me to rot."

"Don't plan on a painless death."

"Wanda. If you stay here you'll die."

"I just did. Do you know how it felt?" She reached her hand out, and the smoky red ribbons that accompanied her magic flew toward the AI's chest, the sound of metal creaking and straining filling the air. A metal ball with multiple different knobs and extremities was yanked out and flew into the witch's open palm, "It felt like that."

And that was when the city began to fall.

The girl's screamed. Lilith heard a voice in her ear piece.

"Stark Lilith's still on the rock."

"I thought she was with you, Steve."

"No."

"Lilith?"

"Dad! If this is it-"

"Stop it, you're going to be fine. Thor, on my mark." The girls weren't touching the ground. The were flying and falling at the same time.

"Wanda! Take my hand!" The girls latched onto each other, fingers laced together before pulling each other into a tight embrace.

"At least I'll be with Pietro." Her voice was quiet, barely a whisper, but Lilith heard it loud and clear. She squeezed her eyes shut tight and hope her death would be quick and painless. Wanda pulled away from her suddenly, "Help is coming."

Sure enough Vision was there beside them, "I can take both of you, Lilith, hold onto my back." He scooped Wanda up and Lilith wrapped her arms and legs tightly around his torso as she had done with Pietro barely an hour ago. Vision flew them away from what would've been their doom and not a seconds after they were placed safely on the helicarrier's landing pad di the city shatter to pieces in the air.

"Dad!" Lilith watched the pieces of Sokovia fall to the ground and waited for her father's flashy suit to appear amongst the rubble and soar towards her to give her a big bear hug, "Where is he? Why isn't he here yet?"

"I'm sure he's fine, Lilith. You're father will be alright. You both share an uncanny ability to avoid death when it is most inevitable." Lilith nodded slowly, not able to form a coherent sentence. Wanda placed a hand on her back and led her to a wall. The leaned against it and say down, Lilith's head on Wanda's shoulder, and Wanda's head resting on top of Lilith's. They waited for what seemed like forever. Eventually, finally, Tony arrived with Thor, the news of Ultron's defeat a welcome relief. Lilith rushed into her father's arms before he had stepped fully out of the Iron Man suit. She inhaled the smell of his expensive cologne and the faint scent of oil from an old stain on his tee shirt. And she cried. She sobbed and sniffled and shuddered until she couldn't cry any more.

"Lee Lee, you're safe now, I promise. It's okay," He comforted as he stroked her hair, "You're okay." The two stayed like that for a long time, father and daughter, holding each other in a fierce embrace, trying to hold the other together.

"I love you, Dad," Lilith said, her voice wobbling.

"I love you too, Lee Lee. I love you... Don't do that, okay? Don't scare me like that. I didn't know if you got off the rock before it- I didn't know if you... I love you, I love you."
