Y/n Pov-

I looked around at my fellow classmates as we all flooded the halls at the sound of the last bell. I gripped the straps of my bag tighter as I shifted through the crowd and out the schools doors. Skipping down the stairs, I sprinted to the  parking lot. "My goodness, thank god schools out." I sighed as I hopped into my friends car. I looked at Lily and smiled.

"Yeah... Were finally out. Finally adults." She laughed. Yep. We're finally graduated. Ready to see what life brings us.

After her Father, Lily and I talked about our days, we went off.

As I saw my house come into our view I said my goodbyes and walked inside.

"GOD DAMN YOU!" I heard a crash in the living room. I sighed sadly and went straight to my room. I dumped my school supplies into my trash bin and started stuffing clothes and nick knacks inside.

Not to long after trying to find everything I need, I heard stomps coming my direction, then I quickly hid my bag under my mattress and turned towards the door, only to see it be slammed open. "Hey dad. I kind of forgot to say I'm home." I rubbed the back of my neck nervously.

"Kind of got that." He groaned. He slowly came closer as I backed up a tiny bit. "So, you going to move out? Leave this place?" His breath smelled rancid, laced with alcohol. I did nothing but keep an eye on him, looking around for any options. "Now you're going to ignore me?! You think you have the right!" He raised his hand, bringing it down with a great force. I shook lightly and kept my gaze down.

"I apologize." I whispered. Thinking quickly, I raised my voice to sound somewhat normal. "Um, If you'd like, I could go get us some dinner." I cleared my throat.

He scoffed, and grabbed my hair, making me look at him. "If you want to avoid any more difficulties, I would hurry up." Then he threw me towards the door. At this point, I didn't even think, I just ran. Running outside, I went to the nearest store. Just trying to get somewhere with people.

For about a half an hour, I kept passing down the isles. Until I heard my phone ring.

With a shaky hand, I picked up. "Y/N YOUNG LADY. YOU GET HOME THIS INSTANT!" I took a deep breath.

"I'm not coming home." I said.

"I'm going to drive around town until I find you, and so help me when I do." I gulped but smiled, knowing I had a crowd around me. "You better pray to the gods while you still can. This is the last time you run away." Then he hung up. I stuffed my phone into my pocket, looking around me. I saw a redheaded boy in green down the isle I was in.

'Okay, one person.' I walked around the store, counting people I have for witnesses. I should be good. Twelve people, including the cash register. I only had so much money, so I grabbed a bottle of water and paid. I walked outside to the front, making sure I was in the view of the people inside. I looked at the now dark sky.

Soon after, I saw my fathers car speeding down the road, past the store. But he saw me right before he passed. I jumped to my feet and was about to head inside, until I saw his car...

I just ran, straight to him. A crowd started forming around him.

"Someone call an ambulance!" I screamed. And soon, sirens were heard and lights shone bright.

Time skip-

"Ma'am." I jumped awake to see one of the nurses.

"Yes? Is he okay?" She held a hand out in protest.

She came closer, taking off her mask, to show a frown. "I'm sorry, miss. But he didn't make it." My eyes widened in horror. 'This is all my fault.' My eyes started to swell up with tears as my hands turned to fists.

'My father was a bad person. But he didn't deserve this.'

'If only I didn't run.'
