WARNING: SLIGHT SELF HARM (Don't worry guys, Pico does get better, keep note of the signs he shows here.)
On our way back Lily leaned towards the back at us
"Do you guys want to head to our house, or to drop Keith and Pico off there?" I swallowed hard and looked at Pico.
"How about Y/n and i head back to the house, and you and Keith head back to you're parents place for the night. You two need some time to yourselves." Pico sighed. I froze and looked at Lily. I nodded slightly and she sighed.
"Keith, babe. Does that sound okay?" Lily turned towards Keith.
Not looking away from the road he nodded. "Yeah, not a problem." Lily nodded as well and turned to face forward. Not to long afterwards, we slowed down to a stop in a unfamiliar driveway. I took a deep breathe and got out of the car, Pico getting out quick and immediately going inside. I sighed once again and saw Lily quickly hop out of the car, running around it to me.
"Hey, Y/n? I want you to know that there are three rooms in there. One for Keith and i, one for Pico, and one for you. It was going to be a guest room..." She paused for a second. "It's to the right down the hallway, all the way down. Pico knows where his room is, right across from yours. Get him if you need anything. Okay?" She grabbed my hands, rubbing them soothingly.
"Okay, i'll be fine. He's probably tired still right?" I smiled.
"Most likely." She dead panned. "But don't mind that. Again, he's an ass at first, but he's a really sweet guy." She furrowed her eyes at me and i nodded, going inside, waving at her.
I heard the car honk and then drive off. I looked around the house, realizing i had no pajama's. I mentally slapped myself and walked down the hall. Last on the right, last on the right. I reached the door and turned to shut it, turning on the light. Once i turned around i saw Pico on the bed, arms on his knees.
"So... y-you wanted to talk to me?" I stood in place, picking at my fingers.
"Well, you going to sit down or not?" I jumped slightly and moved closer, pausing to look where to sit. Pico rolled his eyes and patted next to him. Listening, i sat down. Staring at my hands.
"Well, what is i-" I was about to ask before he interrupted.
"Don't ask me a question, unless you're going to look me in the eyes." He said lowly.
Man what is his nerve? I looked at him, trying to not take him in. "Okay, what is it you wanted to ask me?" He grinned.
"About the night i saw you, you were in a store." I nodded. He looked at me with anger in his eyes. "For three hours." I swallowed hard, but nodded again. "Passing around the isles, like you were waiting." He started fixing his nails. "Or hiding from something."
Okay mister. I stood up, starting to walk away. "Alright, I think that's en-" He grabbed my arm. I flinched and bit my tongue.
"No you don't. I'm not done." I groaned and turned to him.
"Look, I'm not a genius, but i know damn well this is none of your business!" I painfully pulled my arm out of his grip. I could feel some of the cuts open from the force. 'I only have so long before they bleed through.' I thought frantically.
He stood up just as quickly. "After a while you went outside, and ran towards that crash down the road, you knew them. Where they what you were hiding from?" I bit my lip, starting to shake.
"Just drop it." I groaned. "My connection with them is none of your concern." I snapped, turning to face him.
"I know they did something. What?" He wasn't going to drop this was he?
"Fine, that was my Father, happy?" I went to leave and call Lily, but once again he stopped me. "Why do you want to know so bad?" I heard him hesitate.
"If you just answer me, I'll answer you."
"I answered you're stupid question, that was my father. And he passed away from that crash, what else is there." I turned to him.
"What were you doing in that store that day?" His voice softened a little bit. He went out to grab your hand again but you pulled away this time.
"None of your concern, leave me alone already." He paused, his pupils dilate and his brows rise.
"Okay, okay. I'm sorry." He shakily dropped his hand, and sighed. "I'm sorry." He said more stern this time.
"I-it's fine, just... don't bring that day up again." You whispered. He nodded slightly.
It just stayed quite for a few minutes. "L-look," He cleared his throat. "We got off on the wrong foot, again, i'm Pico." He held a shaky hand out. I hesitantly took it.
I smiled slightly. "Obviously." I joked, in which he smiled in return. "And I'm Y/n." We both chuckled and awkwardly just stared. "Well, we should probably head to bed. It's getting late." I added.
With a firm nod in agreement, he went to leave the room. But paused at the doorway. "You don't have clothes for the night do you?" He asked. I nodded and he left the room. Not to long afterwards, he came back. Holding a white t shirt and some basketball shorts. "It might be a little big, but it's better than nothing." And he was back to himself.
"Thank you." I grabbed his shoulder. "But, i am really sorry for earlier... it's a sor-"
"Hey, i get it. Sore subject. We all have them." He whispered. "Good night Y/n..." And he was gone. I smiled to myself, shut my door. Making sure to lock it, and changed. Wincing slightly, i carefully put the t shirt on so i don't get anything on it. And threw on a jacket.
"Man what a night..." I sighed, getting comfortable.
'Maybe we will get along.'
