"The hell! Get off..." Pico grunted under the hold of Tankman. Finally pushing him away, he fixed his hair while glaring at him.
"Well sorry you're pops wanted to stop by." Tankman laughed. I gulped as he pointed over to me with his thumb. "This nice young lady agreed to have me here." He smiled in triumph.
Pico glared at me, frowning slightly. "U-uh, I can explain." I waved my hands in front of me. "I had no idea that he was you're d-da-"
"Dad? Yeah I get it-" Pico finished, crossing his arms. "We look nothing a like."
Lily's father walked down to us, a smile still on his face. "Well, lets drop this unnecessary drama." We all listened intently. "Its good to see you, old friend." Tankman and him shared a firm handshake.
We all shared a look of confusion as the two started ranting about things I'd rather not say aloud.
"Hey, guys?" Keith wrapped an arm around Lily Pico and I. "You all want to head out?" He motioned around us, seeing everyone talking and getting along. "People are doing there own thing, so let's go do ours." We nodded, me a little hesitant.
Pico and I shared eye contact, and he looked away just as quick.
I frowned slightly. I could tell he was just uncomfortable, we'll have to talk later. Lily took the lead and we all left. Walking to the house to pick up our car, Pico and Keith took the lead, talking to quiet for me to hear.
Lily bumped my shoulder. Making me jump to look at her. "What's eating you up?" She asked. I looked forward with a sigh and looked toward the ground.
"I had no idea they were related." I blurted, throwing my arm forward to hint towards Pico.
Lily giggled a little. "You do know Pico isn't mad right?" She leaned forward. "He and Tankman aren't close or anything, but they love each other." She smiled. "Pico doesn't like having to much people to care about..." she looked at him with sad eyes. Then shaking her head. "But thats a talk to have with him-"
"Hurry up slow pokes, were here." Keith called to us. We both sighed and hurried over.
We all hopped in, Pico looped around the side of the car to go in the front with Keith. At least until Lily ran in front of him, steeling the seat.
With a groan, he got in back with me scooting as close to the opposite door as I possibly could.
"Yall want to head to the theaters?" Keith repositioned the mirror to look at us.
I shifted uncomfortably and mumbled. "Yeah..."
It wasn't that I was upset or anything. But I had no idea what to say. I knew too well Pico's feelings for his dad.
Once we got there, we got our tickets and got inside the movie room. Sitting half way up the rows of seats. And I was honestly surprised when Pico wanted to sit next to me. Which made Lily more than happy.
And to make it even better, this was a horror movie. Just to my luck.
Time skip halfway in the movie-
Just as the girl was about to reach the end of the hallway I mumbled to myself.
"Behind, behind, behind..." I curled my legs onto my seat, leaning back. This happens every horror movie just about.
Pico smiled at me, grabbing my hand lightly. I didn't even move, let alone notice fully.
"God, fuck it!" I whispered to the best of my ability, as she got jumped from behind! Just as I guessed.
Pico's POV-
I chuckled as Y/n jumped at the movie, cursing the fear away.
Rolling my eyes, I gripped her hand slightly harder, rubbing my thumb over her knuckles.
I could feel her start to relax, finally. Looking at me with a smile, I couldn't help but smile back. Keeping my gaze at the screen.
"Thanks..." she whispered. I nodded once with a smirk.
Y/n POV-
"Thanks..." I whispered shyly. Seeing him nod. I blushed slightly and awkwardly looked back at the screen, looking at him multiple times. Finally relaxing with his help.
'God I'm one corny son of a bitch....'
