Let's Go Guns Blazing (Pico x reader)

The First Night Out

NOTE: Don't worry, you finally get to meet who you came for~

I decided to go casual tonight. A tank flannel and jeans. I walked outside the unpacked house as i saw Lily standing on the patio. "So?"  

She showed me her purse and smiled wide. "Yep, i kind of feel bad though..." She mumbled to herself. I tilted my head at her. "Oh, remember Pico fell asleep. Keith had to wake him up, so he's kind of grumpy." 

I started to feel nervous. I kind of feel bad for pushing us meeting...

"Don't worry, if he starts being a dick, I got it." She reassured me. I smiled at her, and talked as we waited.

Not to long after I saw a white mustang pull up in front of us. Lily and I hopped in, with me in front. I only saw a guy with blue hair in the drivers seat. I sat there awkwardly, probably not seeing the other person from not looking around. 

"Hey." I got a playful punch on my shoulder. I looked over to the driver. He just smiled wide. "Hi, I'm Keith, Lily's boyfriend." He held out his hand, and I took it. "I've heard a lot about you. Y/n right?" I nodded. He gave me one more smile before we drove off. 

"Pico, wake the fuck up!" I heard Lily shout and heard a thump.

"Hey! Don't fucking hit me!" I heard a guy groan. I froze in my seat and kept my eyes forward. 

"Don't fall asleep on us Pico, it's our first time meeting up in a long time." Lily laughed. 

"Well I'm sorry we just moved in a short period and i had to drive the WHOLE time." Keith chuckled. "Yeah I'm talking about you twinkle toes." He sighed, Keith's chuckle turned into laughter. I could tell Pico was behind my seat by him grabbing the side of it. "And you are?"

I nervously cleared my throat and was about to turn around, until. 

"Hey guys, we're here. I hope you don't mind McDonalds, it's fast and simple. We're still tired... so." Keith parked the car and jumped out, me and Lily following suit. Pico took a second. 

When i turned towards his door, i saw him come out. 'Wait...' 

"Hey, i know you." Pico loosely pointed a finger at me. 

"Um... Yeah, we met a few days ago..." I started to panic for a second. 'I met this guy the day my dad... died.' 

Lily walked around the car over to us, Keith next to her. "Wait you two have met?" Lily asked.

Before Pico could talk I cleared my throat. "We saw each other in a store." I emphasized store and gave Lily a look, her knowing most of what happened. She nodded slowly. "We never actually talked though." I smiled nervously.

"Well-" Pico started, holding a hand out. I shakily took it. "I'm Pico, obviously." He said out of boredom. 

"I-I'm Y/n." We shared one firm shake and dropped it there. 

"Well! Let's go eat." Keith interrupted. I mouthed thank you as we all walked inside. Everyone told me their order, and i went to get the food.

Waiting in line i felt eyes on me. I casually looked around to catch a glimpse of Pico staring at me. My heart started racing as i turned back to the counter, seeing the lady there was trying to tell me it's my turn. I scrambled over and placed our orders. 

After a second i got the cups and went to the machine. Getting Lily her cherry dr. pepper, and everyone else some water. I brought them all over and we started small talk, all the while Pico was staring at me almost the whole time. 

Feeling uneasy i heard my name being called. "Well, that's food. I'll be right back." I stood up, Pico following suit. 

"I'll come with you." He said plainly.

Keith and Lily shared a look i didn't recognize, but left it alone as we walked over. I tried to ignore him as i went to grab the trays. But Pico got in front of me and got it. I just backed off and let him do it. And without a word, we walked back.

"Thank you guys." Lily smiled. We sat back down, across from each other. 

"Well, thank you Lily for bringing us here. And having all of us meet each other." Keith looked at me, then looked at Pico.

Pico gave him an annoyed look and leaned forward. "Fine, it's a pleasure to see you guys." He went straight for his food. Keith elbowed him. "And, meeting Y/n... i guess." 

"W-well, it's nice to meet you two." I cleared my throat to say. 

"Okay, so. Keith, Pico, what have you two been up to?" Lily asked.

"Oh! Pico has been teaching me how to rap. He wants to ask you're parents when where done with the building to be one of the teachers." Pico wasn't looking but grumbled something i couldn't hear. 

"Aww Pico, that sounds amazing!" Lily clapped her hands happily. 

"Yeah whatever. It's just so i can beat easy competitors." He said. Still not looking.

"Well... i think that's pretty cool." I shrugged. Earning a side glance from him. "I'm excited to hear you if you get it." In all honesty, i don't see him as the rap type. 

Pico stood up covering his mouth and said something about the car, and left. 

I looked at the other two. "Did i do something?" Okay, now i feel bad. 

Keith quickly responded. "Hey, no you didn't do anything. Pico... has trust issues, that's the best way to put it. You're okay." He smiled reassuringly. 

"Yeah, just give him some time. He'll warm up to you." 

Soon afterwards we all got back in the car, Lily whispering something to Keith and sitting in the front, Keith driving again. I mentally screamed when i had to sit in the back with Pico. After buckling in i leaned onto the window, trying to ignore him. I don't want to bother him anymore than i have.

Once the car started, Keith turned on music. I felt a tap on my shoulder which had me turning quickly towards Pico. "Yeah?" I whispered. 

"Look." He paused to look to the front. "We need to talk. Alone." He gave me an angry look.

"What, when, why?" I leaned a tiny bit closer, really confused.

"Whenever you can. I have some questions. About the day i saw you." I was about to question more until he leaned back to his side and went on like nothing happened. 

I started to panic even more, looking out my window to calm down.

'What if he knows?'
