The Stranger

I walked back and forth nervously, having dialed the phone.

Click...

I jumped, but kept it together. "Hello, this is Y/n. I found your number on a.... peice of paper." I listened intently.

"Hello Y/n. I didn't think it would take you too long to figure it out. Good job."

I stuttered. "Thank you?" I shook my head. "Look, thats not important, who are you and what can you tell me about my missing friend."

"Now now, we don't need to rush. And as for you're boyfriend," he chuckled to himself. "Meet a friend of mine at the train tracks you two lovebirds went to. In ten." I heard him laugh and then the line cut.

I sighed and went back to the tracks, cautiously checking the area around me.

"Sup girly~" I heard a giggle from the shadows. Then she slowly emerged. And man was she jumpy. She skipped and stopped in front of me, holding a hand out. "The names Nene." She smiled and tilted her head.

I smacked her hand away, glaring her down. Not like it did much. "Cut the bullshit. Were is he?" I asked.

"Aww, and I though you'd be fun." She huffed and crossed her arms. "Well, I can't say anything, but here you go I guess." She held a peice of paper between two fingers, holding it out as I grabbed it.

I opened my mouth to comment but she looked behind her with a wide smile. "Well shucks, time to dip." She sighed. "Catch ya next time girly~" she saluted and ran back into the shadows.

I rolled my eyes and unfolded the paper. Skimming the text, I groaned to myself.

'Good job you met her, but don't think of the weather. The next time it rains, go outside in a sweater. Bright with colors so you're not easy to miss. Only then with your clue help commence.'

"What am I five?" I asked myself.

After going back home I checked the weather report. "Three days?" I sighed. Then rummaging through my closet. "And i have to get a colorful sweater..." I punched the doorframe and grit my teeth.

"I just want to find him..." I felt a tear stream down my face. "I don't want to play this stupid game." I ran my hand through my hair and took a deep breath. And went to the door.

'But I guess I have too.....'

Hey guys, I know this is all random but there are reasons behind this.

The riddles seem dumb but im trying to think of them kind of on the spot. 😅

Anyway, don't worry, I'm really trying to not have this story go downhill. Again, reasons.
