Let's Go Guns Blazing (Pico x reader)

The Show

That whole walk to the building was just awkward silence. But the moment we got there we went our separate ways as if nothing happened, and honestly, I'm okay with that.

"Ah Y/n! You're here," Lily and her mother greeted me openly, only to pull me away from the others. Her mother gripped my shoulders lightly. "Now, sweaty. Tell us everything." They both leaned in excitingly. 

After catching them up on all i could remember with Pico and I, we ended up being very quite by the end. 

"Well, that's new..." Lily looked over to Pico Keith and her father across the building. Looking back at me she smiled nervously. "I've never heard of him being that..... amorous. I would go ask Keith on what to do, they used to...." Lily looked around us and leaned by my ear and whispered. "They used to date a while back." I froze. 'They dated?' I asked myself, shrugging afterwards. 

"Well, i'll go ask. Thank you Lily." I turned towards the guys before looking over my shoulder. "Thank you too mom." I smiled and walked away. Getting over to Keith and Pico i tapped Keith's shoulder.

"Yeah Y/n?" He smiled. 

I sighed and whispered to him. "Can i talk to you in private?" I asked, him nodding in return. We both smiled at Pico innocently and walked away from everyone. "Look, Pico and i..... I have no idea what's going on. One moment he acts like he likes me, then the next it's like I did something bad to him..." I continued to the recent events. The train tracks, singing, that talk in my room, the movie, and this morning. 

Keith's face turned a soft pink and rubbed the back of his neck. "Well, that's just how Pico is." He smiled softly. "In the end, Pico just wants you to find the answer yourself. He's dropping hints for a reason." I felt a harsh blush creep it's way up my neck and into my face, making me look down. Nodding in return, Keith wrapped an arm around my shoulders. 

"But, going back to Pico singing for you, we aren't done with the building yet, but with the posters everywhere, people are pushing for a chance to perform. Sooooo," He smiled wide. "We're hosting our first show tonight. And guess what?" He asked happily. 

I looked up at him questionably. 

"Pico is performing as well." He whispered. I suddenly got pretty excited at the news. "If you don't mind, Lily wants you to join her on the speakers to cheer on people singing and competing." 

"Hell yeah!" I cheered. I've been so nervous for this but thank god Lily has my back. "Wait, what about teachers? We only have Pico." I asked.

Keith laughed, patting my back harshly. "Don't be silly, tonight is a audition, kind of, Pico, Dad and mom are going to act as teachers for now, to judge the people performing, and to see if they'll make good teachers. And what they don't know, is that i want to be a continuing competitor. Not a teacher." We finished our conversation not to long after that, going back to the others.

Lily's dad and mom called us all over. "Now, everyone let's get the stage set." Her father smiled.

"Where are we hosting it?" I asked.

"We're thinking the run down train tracks not to far out of town." Her mother said. Immediately, Pico and i froze, purposely ignoring eye contact from the other. "Now, please grab everything we need. Honey," She looked to her husband. "Please get the speakers, Lily, the microphones, Pico, lights, and Keith, load the chairs into the limo." We all got to our jobs, and since i didn't have one, i just helped Keith.

And then we we're off, and sure enough, we stopped at the exact spot Pico and i we're at. "Fuck me." I whispered. Hopping out of the car. 

The rest of the day was spent setting things up, testing equipment, etcetera etcetera.

Later that night-

I yawned as i sat on top of the speakers, looking around, i saw a decent line assemble consisting of many singers. I felt the speakers shifting as Lily hopped on next to me. "I'm so excited!" She clapped happily. I hummed in agreement as i looked around, not seeing Pico anywhere. 

And then the singing, commenced.

The first people up we're two little boys who go by Skid and Pump... weird names, but i'm not one to judge. But let me tell you, they put on a great performance. Then there was a blonde school boy. Not my taste, but good voice. The weirdest one by far is a man in i hope is a costume. He had a lemon head and black body.... Let's just say he didn't last long against Lily's dad.

The most entertaining so far was Lily's mother vs her father. Mainly for fun, since we all know there both part of the system already. Then there was the battle i was waiting for all night. 

Pico vs Keith. And sure enough, they used the song they both made. 

And this time, i wanted to join. 

Before the song went off, Lily counted them down. "Three, two, one, go!" She smiled wide.

"Go Pico, yeah yeah, go Pico oh" I cheered from the speakers, singing to the beginning beat. Pico looked around him to see who was talking, finally looking at me for a second, his face a dark red. I couldn't help but cheer again. Pico was just as surprised as Keith did the same, seeming to catch Pico off guard.

He swallowed hard and took a deep breath. "I'm drinking all the wine, some fancy on my mind. Got fancy on her thigh, you can't be on my mind." Keith smiles as he sings the same thing back to him, putting a lot of enthusiasm into it.

Pico just smiled softly, seeming to put some attitude to his words as well. "I will diss you then jump while passing the gun all night, laughing around that chick's ass, I'm on that girl next all right." That whole song was the two of them trying to one up each other.

I couldn't help but get excited as Pico started adding the move to his step, getting into it just like he did that one night. "My baby gone for the night, she probably gone for the night. My baby gone for the night, she probably gone for the night." As Keith sang the same thing, he looked over to Lily and winked, causing her to giggle like an idiot.

"My baby gone for the night, she probably gone for the night. My baby gone for the night, she probably gone for the night." The crowd cheered as they both sang together, hyping the other up happily.

"I will diss you then jump while passing the gun now all night, laughing around that chick's ass, I'm on that girl next all right." Pico sang his last verse with confidence. Waiting for Keith to finish it.

"I will diss you then jump while passing the gun now all night, laughing around that chick's ass, I'm on that girl next all right." After that, Pico dropped his mic dramatically, Going to Keith as they half five each other, Making Lily and I giggle. 

Keith laughed to himself, seeming to be on somewhat of an adrenaline rush. Pico looked back at me with a wide smile on his face, mouthing 'Thank you' Then went to calm Keith down, the two of them laughing as they walked off stage.

Lily and I hopped off the the speakers to meet them half way, the whole time i was a blushing mess. That look, i'll never forget. 

I rested my hand over my heart as it beat crazily. And it felt like i had mad butterfly's in my stomach. 

And today is the day i finally learned...

'I think I'm possibly... falling for him...'
