Kiara's PoV

"My lady."

I turned and raised my bow, pointing it toward where the voice came from. Everyone immediately got tense, ready for any sudden attack.

I looked over and lowered my guard when I recognized the person in front of us.

“Kikyo,” I said, lowering my bow. Everyone else did the same.

“Why are you here?” I asked, stepping closer.

“I have something to discuss with you,” she said, her eyes shifting to the people behind me. “Alone.”

I looked back at Sesshomaru, silently reassuring him with my eyes that I’d be fine. His eyes didn’t agree, but he knew he couldn’t stop me.

He sighed and gave a slight nod.

I turned back to Kikyo. “Then shall we go?”

She nodded and walked ahead. I followed her, leaving Sesshomaru behind with our child, Jaken, Rin, and Ah-Un.

After walking for a while, we reached a spot far enough from the others.

“What is it?” I asked.

“What is your plan, Lady Kiara?” Her cold tone didn’t affect me. She's wise and kind—just blinded by anger.

“What else, Lady Kikyo? I plan to destroy Naraku and protect my child,” I said simply. I looked her straight in the eyes. “And you? You’re planning to take him down too, aren’t you? How do you plan to do that?”

“Let him collect all the Sacred Jewel shards… then purify him, and the Jewel, at the same time.”

I was caught off guard—we had the same plan.

“Then we stick to it,” I said and turned to walk away. I wanted to get back to check if everyone was okay.

“I assume we think alike, Lady Kiara,” she said. “We both know swords alone won’t kill him. I plan to go to Mt. Hakurei. Naraku will be hiding there. Maybe I’ll see you there.”

I didn’t respond, but she knew I heard her. I kept walking back toward the others.

“Mt. Hakurei, huh?” I muttered.

We’ll see.

When I got back, everyone was waiting. Kouta was asleep on Ah-Un’s back beside Rin. Sesshomaru sat leaning against a tree with Jaken beside him.

As soon as he saw me, Sesshomaru appeared in front of me and kissed my forehead.

“What did you two talk about?”

“We have the same plan,” I said simply, and we continued on our journey.

The Next Morning

I woke up feeling heavy.

Sesshomaru suddenly tensed. “I smell blood,” he said, and rushed off before I could even ask.

“Who?” I asked Jaken.

“I believe it’s Kagura of the Wind, my lady… one of Naraku’s creations,” Jaken answered, clearly nervous.

“I see. Some woman,” I muttered.

He didn’t hesitate to go. I see.

I shouldn’t feel like this—not when I don’t even know what happened.

Still, I decided to go off on my own for a while.

I walked over to where Rin and my son were playing. He saw me and smiled brightly.

I chuckled, kissed his forehead, then did the same to Rin.

“I’ll be back,” I said, hugging them both.

“Jaken,” I called out.

“Yes, my lady?!” he replied in a panic, clearly thrown off by my tone.

“Watch over them. I’ll be back.”

“I will, my lady… but where are you going?” he asked, worry written all over his face.

I didn’t answer.....I just walked away.

My chest still felt heavy from Sesshomaru’s sudden disappearance.

He didn’t tell me anything. Just left… for some woman.

I’m just going to look for someone. I’ll be back,’he had said, clearly in a rush.
