3rd Person’s POV

“You’re leaving…?”

The question came out softer than Sesshomaru expected. His golden eyes remained fixed on the demoness before him.

Kagura.

Her body was slowly dissolving, her form scattering into the wind she had always commanded. The breeze carried strands of her hair and fragments of her fading presence into the open sky.

“Yeah…” Kagura answered weakly.

Even now, she could hardly believe it.

Sesshomaru had come.

Not because he had followed Naraku’s foul scent.

But because of her.

Because he had recognized her blood.

Her chest felt strangely warm remembering his words—when he said he knew it was her.

Sesshomaru’s hand moved toward Tenseiga at his waist. His fingers wrapped around the hilt, instinctively ready to draw the sword that saved lives.

He would use it.

He would save her.

But the miasma was too thick. Too much blood had already been lost. Her body was already unraveling.

Even Tenseiga could not call back a soul that had already begun to drift away.

Even Tenseiga cannot save her, Sesshomaru realized.

“I—I'm fine…” Kagura said with a faint smile as her body grew more transparent.

“Naraku… gave my h-heart… b-ba-ck…”

Her voice trembled.

A single tear slipped from the corner of her eye as she gazed up at him.

“I’m happy… to see you… one last time.”

The wind stirred gently.

And Kagura—child of the wind—became part of it once more.

She vanished.

The space before Sesshomaru became empty, as though she had never been there at all.

For a moment, the world felt unnaturally quiet.

Sesshomaru stood still.

He did not move.

Yet somewhere deep inside his chest, something tightened.

Kagura had been insignificant once.

A pawn. A creation of Naraku.

But somewhere along the way…

She had earned a place within his thoughts.

Within his heart.

Then suddenly—

Another thought struck him.

Kiara.

Where are you going, dear?”

“Sesshomaru? Why are you not answering?

Her voice echoed clearly in his mind.

And with it came the memory of what he had done.

Sesshomaru’s eyes narrowed.

How could I leave her…?

How could I leave my son?
