Leo
First thing’s first; Chase Endicott was on Leo’s ‘You’re going to get it’ List. First with stealing his dads hammer, second by trying to kidnap Jackie and third calling Leo fire boy, this crossed the line. If anything Leo’s going to be a Fire man. He rode a sixty foot, bronze dragon for freaking sake!
And to add to the list, Leo didn’t know whether he was relieved that Jackie was out of Chase’s hands or happy that she was back in his. Chase had been such a…He couldn’t even describe it! And he had tried to kiss Jackie. Leo’s Girlfriend!
Thank the gods that she didn’t let him kiss her full on. Even though Jackie is a strong girl, Leo couldn’t help feeling useless when he couldn’t get her away from Chase. And for one terrifying moment Leo thought that Jackie might fall for the creep.
Leo realised his hair was alight again, Leo didn’t care but he put them out for the others’ sake.
A little voice in his head interrupted, You were jealous of him that’s why. You got out of control like you did with your mom, one more minute and Jackie could have been taken by Chase.
Gods! Leo was sick of that little doubting voice; he had heard it too many times before. During his quest with Jason and Piper, tormenting him about his mom and when he was thinking about Jackie…it annoyed him so much.
But come to mention it, how could Leo not be jealous of Chase? Chase was tall, good-looking and was good with weapons; everything Leo wanted to be. Why couldn’t Leo be like him? The only problem with Chase was he really sucked when it came to girls…maybe even more than Leo does.
You shouldn’t question Jackie’s faith. The little voice interrupted again.
The voice was right for once, he trusted Jackie and he wouldn’t question her faith. But he had burned her skin and she hadn’t told him. Why?
Leo cursed and kicked the gravel in the parking lot. He would have thrown a whole tantrum if Jackie hadn’t run up to Leo and practically flew into his arms.
“Leo! I’m so sorry.” She cried.
Leo was virtually stunned, she was sorry? Leo had almost set her on fire, he couldn’t get her from Chase and she was almost killed in the process.
“You’re sorry? You almost got kidnapped by a creep with no girlfriend, I was the one who couldn’t get you away…and you’re sorry?”
“But Chase…he…”
Leo laughed mockingly, “Kissed you? Yeah, he’s a creep if you ask me.”
Jackie gave a shaken laugh and pulled out of the hug. She gave him a quick kiss on the lips. Leo’s cheeks burned thankfully not literally but she must have noticed because she said;
“Calm down Valdez, you’re burning up.”
She smiled at him and then turned to Percy. He was fussing over Annabeth who was still on the ground. Leo recollected, Annabeth had stolen Chase’s phone and then gotten boxed for it. This dude really did some damage…and not the fixable kind that Leo liked.
Percy looked angrier than he was worried, it sort of reminded Leo of he was feeling a couple of minuted ago, it sorta just reminded Leo of close Jackie and he had become over the past week.
