Jackie's POV
As soon as I’d entered Leo’s cabin I was astounded, from the outside it looked like a motor home but on the inside beyond the steel door…whoa.
The inside was deserted and high tech steel bunks we on the walls, each containing a digital control panel, lights and interlocking gears. Leo seemed to know right where he was going; he led me past a spiral staircase that leads into some basement. We arrived at a wall.
“A wall.” I said unenthusiastically.
“Bunk 1A please.” Leo said taking a smile at me before the bed spiralled into to the wall.
“Whoa.” I could only say.
“It’s cool huh?” Leo smirked sitting down on his bed and pulling a thing out of his tool belt. He gestured to the cabin, with a few other teen sitting around. “Welcome to my den, mi casa es tu casa.”
“My house is your house.” I recalled, I had learnt Spanish from my mom, it helped.
“Whoa…you speak Spanish.”
“Sí, con fluidez.”
Leo gave a dangerous smirk and continued to work on his device until one of his siblings walked over, a guy a bit older than Leo.
“Who’s this Leo? Percy’s sister? You got a girlfriend? Who knew?”
Leo looked at the guy, “Shut up man! She’s a friend. And many of the campers haven’t been treating her very well.”
The guy smirked, “Because people are afraid of her.” He muttered.
I spoke up, “They should be.”
Leo cracked up, the guy looked like he had taken a punch, “I’m watching you new girl” He smiled.
The guy left Leo and I alone, “Sorry about him, that’s Jake Mason, he stepped down from being councillor and let me take over, he’s real nice, he just teases me about…”
“What?” I asked.
“Girls.” Leo smiled, but this time it looked a bit more pained, which made me feel a bit mean for asking.
“It doesn’t he has the right to tease you about things like that. I don’t see his girlfriend anywhere? Anyway… child of Hephaestus, you are immune to fire right?” I asked.
“I am, but not the others, that’s a Cyclops ability. Most of us are builders, craftsmen and blacksmiths like our dad.” Leo told me fiddling with a little contraption.
