Leo
Leo knew that the fried fish lady wasn’t trustworthy. Her brown skin and bimbo smile made Leo want to throw up. Leo usually like beach babes, but a fried fish Neried who had tossed Leo into the water with his friends? This Thetis was getting on his nerves now.
Thetis stood on the beach in front of them, she was smiling and laughing.
“I thought you needed a bath!” The Neried laughed increasing the current’s speed. It was a good thing that everyone knew how to swim, Percy and Jackie were fine and so was Annabeth, but they couldn’t get out of the whirlpool. Percy was holding Riptide and the girls had their daggers out.
“Ditto!” Leo called out to Thetis. She glared at him and summoned a wave to push Leo under. He broke the surface again, not harmed but really angry.
Leo tried to combust, but the water was moving too quickly to evaporate it. Jackie mocked the nymph,
“Seriously Lady, this is stupid! Possibly borderline stupider than you!”
Leo let out a laugh. Thetis gasped and tried to push Jackie under but Jackie just tread water casually smirking at the nymph. Percy did the same.
“You do realise we are half sea god you shrivelled up shark bait!” Jackie shouted.
Thetis frowned deeply and increased the flow of the whirlpool even faster than before, Leo started to drift backwards getting sucked in,
“Uh…” Was all he could say.
Leo felt Jackie will the current to bring him back over to the group. They all tread water as Thetis chuckled.
“You’ll never make it; I’ll drown you before you can say ‘Fish and Chips.”
Annabeth growled, ‘That’s what you’re going to be if you don’t let us go!”
Thetis laughed, “Maybe better luck next time daughter of Athena. I’ll enjoy telling my stories of you when Gaia rules the Earth again.”
“Why did you join the enemy, I thought you were loyal to Olympus!” Percy called out.
Thetis frowned at them sadly, “My poor lamb chop Achilles was killed by Paris, which just opened my eyes to see that Olympus just uses us as pawns, they don’t care and they won’t remember you when you’re gone.”
Percy frowned as if recalling a bad memory, Percy called out. “Gaia won’t take a second though about us either, you think that she will be kind, but she isn’t going to spare anything or anyone.”
“I’ll see whether you’re right son of the sea god. But unfortunately, you won’t.”
Leo smirked, the Neried never shuts up does she? Leo would have tried to build something quickly, but his tool belt was on the beach. Then he got an idea.
“Go pull your lip over your head and swallow!” Leo said. It was an insult he had heard his Aunt Rosa use. The effect it had on Thetis assured Leo that it was a good insult. He then swam towards his friends.
“I have a plan.” Leo ran it past Annabeth, she fixed up one issue and they told the others. Jackie and Percy frowned,
“You’re gonna do fine.” Annabeth said.
Leo swam away from the others. Thetis smiled, “You finished your goodbyes?”
Leo smirked his most dangerous smirk. “Um, I don’t think so…”
Thetis frowned, “Excuse me?”
Leo was ecstatic, the plan was working, “I was just saying to the others that you have a face like a smashed crab!”
