Regulus feels silly even doing it.

But he misses Lily like he misses no other. Despite it only being a matter of weeks since they've seen one another. However, a couple of weeks is a very long length of time for one to go without seeing Lily Evans, especially when Regulus is used to seeing her daily.

Lily Evans has that sort of effect on people. The Lily Evans effect, where you can find yourself yearning and longing for her even when she's right beside you.

Ergo, Regulus finds himself and his shopping bags trailing up the stairs of Lily's apartment block, hauling his purchases with him. He considers that he may just show her the tiny outfit he'd just bought his son; a pale blue baby grown with small ears sticking off of the hood.

In truth, Regulus hadn't intended on melting at the sight of the miniature article of clothing; but he simply could not let himself not have it, well, he couldn't not let his son have it. There is no way humanely possible that Regulus will be the one wearing it, especially not with the size his bump has grown to be now.

Reaching Lily's door, Regulus knocks softly. It's late and he hopes the redhead hasn't already settled herself in for some Chinese takeaway and a movie, there he would never get around to presenting her with the tiny blue baby grow he had bought.

Lily opens the door and peeks outside, her long red hair is curled and smells faintly of hairspray. Which is unusual for Lily, who usually leaves her limp, thin locks of hair lay lank against her back.

"Reg! Hiya!" Lily beams brightly. She opens the door wider. "Wasn't expecting you, come in," She gestures for him to step inside and Regulus smiles, grateful for his friend.

However, as he steps inside; he takes note of a visitor Lily has. A visitor Regulus feels his heart tug at. "Oh...Lily, I'm so sorry. I...I didn't realize you had company," Regulus turns to leave, almost embarrassed but Lily shakes her head, grabbing his shoulder and tugging him back into her apartment.

"I've been meaning to tell you! He said he'd pop down for a bit, wanted to see me and all, we actually went on a proper date in Manchester, very fancy, innit?" Lily laughs as she winks at Dan, who's sitting on her countertop with a cigarette that he quickly discards in the pastel pink ashtray sitting nearby him.

"Hey, Regulus," Dan greets him with a cheery grin and a gesture of a thumbs up. "How's everything baby wise, eh?" He smiles.

Regulus can't help but smile. "Hi, Dan, long time no see," Regulus replies. "Everything's going good, he's growing and stuff, we're doing good. How are you?" Regulus says politely.

Dan nods. "Can't complain, mate," He answers. He glances at zlily. "Lily and I were just about to order pizza, do you want anything?" He offers kindly.

Lily beckons Regulus to sit at the counter with her, on her fancy stools that spin and whirl at will. "We saw a movie, Dan and I did. He's staying the night, really hit it off," Lily smirks to the nearly strawberry blond man nearby.

Regulus laughs softly. "Cool, glad it's working out. Happy for you both,"

Dan smiles cheerily. "She's a gem, isn't she?"

Regulus can not bite back his snort. "Yeah, she's brilliant, our Lil is. James tried to chase her when we were younger, it didn't very much work in his favor, though," He chuckles.

Dan laughs. "Yeah?" He chuckles gently. "Lily says James chasing you hasn't been very easy for him, poor fella, eh?" He jokes.

Regulus blushes faintly, feeling his cheeks grow red. "Yeah, James is a bit of a hopeless romantic, I reckon,"
