HEADCANNONS

• A year after Ezra is born, Lily and Dan finally tie the knot.

• Remus falls pregnant. They somehow discover this at the wedding reception and not by Regulus discretely shoving the idea down Remus' throat as the mousy haired boy holds one of the two most adorable page boys. 

• Regulus has to tell Sirius because Remus simply flat out refuses to.

• They're frightened and scared but once baby Jude Xavier arrives, they are more than blissful, especially when Jude's uncle Wormtail sings 'Hey Jude' to him.

• Marlene and Dorcas are Jude's godparents.

• Bowie, Ezra and Jude are equally disturbed to learn that Jude will be getting a baby sister; Vera Andromeda Lupin-Black.

• Nymphadora Tonks quickly becomes Vera Andromeda Lupin-Black's favorite family member, many picnics occur. It turns out Tonks is a spectacular babysitter.

• James is successful in teaching both of his sons to play the guitar before either of them have reached their seveneth birthday. And he is very smug about it, Regulus pretends to roll his eyes each time James brings it up.

• James and Regulus return to therapy a few years later, just to finalize a lot of things. They haven't been living in the past but Regulus doesn't necessarily like how James has confined himself to one or two drinks each time they go out by themselves. "You...you can't stay sober for the rest of your life over it all, James. It...it happened, alright? But you need to let go of it, for yourself. I..I love you, you know that? I do. I really do. Despite it all, I think we put in too much work to fix this relationship for you to hold yourself back because of what happened, love,"

• James refers to it as a caution. He never meant to do what he did, and that sticks with him, that he didn't want to ever hurt Regulus; yet he did. He is reluctant to indulge in alcohol ever since. After all, he holds himself primarily responsible, but he can not help but wonder if he hadn't been so intoxicated how it would have all worked out. One of James Potter's biggest regrets in life is that he ever stepped a foot outside of Regulus' flat that night.

• Regulus is glad to have his firecracker of a boyfriend back once James begins drinking that bit more.

• Mary moves on to the world of fashion and sends her little nephews and her tiny niece her latest children's lines to model for her. Remus is quite frankly sick of doing laundry and seeing the sheer amounts of frilly socks she has sent.

• James does manage to put Bowie's heartbeat in a song. He doesn't release the song and instead, he and Regulus listen to it whenever times get tough between them and James suffers with his guilt. It is untitled, but Regulus likes to refer to it as 'James and Regulus: The Golden Years'. James pretends to hate it. He doesn't.
