At twenty seven weeks pregnant, Regulus feels impossibility huge as he sits on Marlene and Dorcas' balcony, Dan and Lily sitting across from him; an array of crackers and fruits before them all and Dorcas and Marlene seated in a wooden love chair at Regulus' side.

"So, any names yet? I hope you've considered Lily, at least-"

Regulus snorts. "How many times do I have to remind you that he's a little boy before you stop suggesting your own bloody name?"

Lily shrugs with a wink, glass of wine in her grip. "Lily can be a very masculine name, Y'know," She prompts. She watches Regulus frown before shrugging once more. "It was worth a try, eh?" She grins cheekily.

Dorcas turns to Regulus. "But seriously though, have you put any thought into his name yet? He'll be here in a few months, would you rather get a look at him before you name him for life or do you and James want to be prepared?" She inquires, taking a bite from her cracker, cheese piled high atop it.

A name.

Something Regulus hasn't even considered just yet.

"Erm, I mean, it would be nice to have it out of the way, I suppose," Regulus hums. "But he's got to have a name that's well thought out, he isn't just going to be just anyone, y'know?"

Regulus feels foolish even vocalizing it. Every single parent in the entire universe feels that way, feels that there is no way humanely possible that their child is going to be 'just anyone'.

But Regulus, just like every single parent in the entire universe, feels as though his child is the second coming of Christ, an unborn genius who's going to change both his and James' lives entirely. The baby has been barely existing for the past twenty sevem weeks and he's already done so much more than change their lives; he's made Regulus entirely reevaluate how he views life as a whole.

Once lost and searching every single damn cabinet for some kind of relief in the form of a poisonous little pill, Regulus now relishes at the idea of this new life growing inside of him.

"Earth to Reg," Marlene hums softly, forcing Regulus out of his thoughts. She smiles at him before, "Of course he won't be just anybody, he's going to be so damn special," She coos. "He'll be so very loved, I just know it,"

"Definitely the coolest kid on the block," Dan adds with a lazy grin. "He deserves the coolest name, something that really screams 'yeah-my-dad-is-a-rockstar-and-my-mum's-the-world's-next-Emily-Dickinson', mmh?"

Regulus smiles at this. "I think tonight I'll get started on that then." He announces. "I think I'd like to name him something sweet, something that means something to both James and I," He hums.

"Have you started work on the nursery yet, love?" Lily asks.

Regulus shakes his head. "Nope, Ted should be over soon, though. Dromeda doesn't trust me to paint the ruddy room without ruining the timber floors," He blushes faintly. Regulus doesn't trust himself all that much either.

"It'll be great! Ted will do a great job," Dorcas says reassuringly. "Any colors in mind, eh?"

Regulus shrugs. "Green?"

His reply receives a chorus of snorts and so, Regulus rolls his eyes. "What? I like the color green..."

"We know, baby cakes, we know," Marlene rolls her eyes fondly. "I'm sure it'll contrast well with James' color scheme."

Regulus wrinkles his nose slightly. He had been entirely unaware that James had even realized their son would need a nursery. "Oh? Why? What color is he thinking of?" Regulus asks, his genuine curiosity getting the best of him.
