Kemonomimi is literally means animal ears in Japanese and I bet you guys already know what I mean before you read the chapter...
You promised your aunt to babysit her twins, Yuubari and Yuudachi while their parents went out for the whole weekend. "Can you accompany them to the pet store, (y/n)? They've been asking for a new playmate but we never had the time." Your aunt texted. "Okay, I'll take them there." You replied. "Thank you so much, dear!" she replied back. "Maybe you can find one too for yourself." She added then sent another text, telling you where she put the money.
You took the envelope and put it in your bag. "Come on, you two! You want to go or not?" you shouted and your cousins replied in unison, "Yes!!" and ran to you. The three of you went out to the pet store. You three went in and the place is like a human café than a regular pet store. No wonder your cousins want this type of pet.
"Look at that one!". "No, let's see that one!" both Yuubari and Yuudachi were beyond excited. You let them to explore and pick which pet they want while you look around. "How did the owner manage to facilitate this?" you muttered while wondering. "(y/n) nee-chan!" you heard Yuudachi called and you found her in the cat section of the store. "Isn't he cute?" she asked.
Yuudachi was playing with a male cat. He has a medium graying hair, wore a white undershirt under a black sweater with black pants, shoes, and a deep dark blue scarf. His ears and tail are black as well. "Are you sure you don't want a kitty? This boy is a bit old..." you were unsure with Yuudachi's choice. She kept saying that the cat's cute and he purred at your cousin and doesn't mind your presence. He also pat himself on your hand when he approached you.
You huffed a smile and pat back the cat. "Alright, you can have this one.". "Thank you, (y/n) nee-chan!" Yuudachi happily thanked you and the cat happily meowed. You told one of the staff about the cat then went to check on Yuubari. She was in the dog section of the store. Yuubari was playing with a male puppy. The puppy was also wearing a white undershirt under a brown sweater with black pants and white shoes. His ears and tail are also black. You didn't say anything and let her have the puppy.
Yuubari and Yuudachi went to the cashier with their pets of choice. You wandered to the mouse section and found a particular mouse. He looks like in between the age of the puppy and the cat. The mouse was wearing all white with black/white shoes. His hair is deep black although his ears are white. The mouse immediately comforted himself with you when you approached him.
"Nee-chan!" your cousins called, snapping you back. You sadly have to leave the mouse to join your cousins and purchase their new pets. The five of you went back to your aunt's place happily. You arrived and the cat and the puppy immediately made themselves comfortable in the house. Space wasn't much of a trouble since the twins' parents has a big house. You asked your twin cousins the names of their pets and Yuudachi named her cat リユ (Riyu) while Yuubari named her puppy ユキ (Yuki).
You went back to the store at Monday to check on the mouse and thankfully, the mouse wasn't sold out yet. You purchased it and brought it to your place. The name you gave is ハル (Haru).
A.N : Hey, guys! I got the whole week off! I'm so glad and I'm definitely going to make the most of it! Well, by most I mean writing and uploading... The chapter is based from the pics I found of Sakamoto wearing cat ears and Takahashi has a new puppy while I don't find anything about Hosono with an animal yet. I was going to make Hosono as a hamster but couldn't find the official name for it so I chose mouse. I think he would be cute too as a mouse :3
