You just finished the day in campus and you're on your way back. You looked up and the sky was dark. Good thing your jacket can be flipped inside out. 'Better change it.' you put down your bag and took of your jacket to flip it. Then there was a pair of white sneakers stopped in front of you when you were going to pick up your bag. You look up and it was your crush, Sachiru.
"S-Sachiru-kun!" you greeted him and he smiled back. "Are you going to the bus stop?" he asked and you nodded. "And yourself?". "I'm going to have lunch there." He pointed at a fast food joint across the street. Since both of you were going to the same the direction, you two walked together. You and Sachiru are in the same major and sometimes you see each other in some classes.
Both of you walked up the stairs to the flyover crossing bridge which also connected to the bus stop. You looked at the apartment on your right, it's where Sachiru lives. The two of you talked about the materials from class and even though you didn't remember much, you managed to keep up. The rain was getting bigger by the minute.
"I'll see you tomorrow, (y/n)!" you snapped back from Sachiru's words and his friendly smile. "Uh, yeah! I'll see you tomorrow too, Sachiru-kun!" you smiled and returned his high five. He walked straight while you watched him at the intersection. You continued walking down and didn't break your sight out of him until he disappeared to the building. You've had a crush on Sachiru but you decided to see him as a friend when your friend told you a secret about Sachiru.
You made to the bus stop then got in and paid when the bus arrived. 'When will the rain stop?' you sighed at the thought and hoped for the rain to stop soon. But it doesn't seem your hopes will be answered and you forgot to bring your umbrella along. The bus stopped at your usual stop and you got off. You decided to sit and wait until the rain stopped or at least just trickling then you can walk back home. "This will take a while." You sighed in defeat.
"Have you been waiting long, (y/n)?". "Ryuichi!" you heard your friend's voice. Ryuichi is your partner in some group assignments. "Not really. The bus just left." You answered his question. For you, Ryuichi is a bit of a rockhead in some things but he's fun to hang with. "How about yourself?". "Just got here too." He answered and you noticed he was carrying his umbrella. "I'm guessing that you forgot to bring yours.". "Yeah." You chuckled in embarrassment.
Ryuichi sighed a smirk, "Come on.". "What?" you were surprised. "Let's walk you back." He offered and you asked about himself. "Rather than I let you get bored waiting, don't I? you chuckled and accepted his offer. You huddled yourself to him under the umbrella and both of you walked to the direction to your place. This is the first time you were this close to Ryuichi outside of group projects.
"You don't have to be that close, you know." He teased and you leave a gap between yourself and Ryuichi. The two of you walked in silence. The only sound was heard were the rain and the passing cars. Your arm was getting wet from the rain so you pulled yourself with the curved end of the handle and you were fully under the other side of the umbrella but still left a gap between. Ryuichi noticed what you were doing and he didn't say anything back.
"Here we are." Both of you finally arrived at your place. "Would you look at that... the rain stopped." He closed his umbrella. "Thanks for accompanying me, Ryuichi." You thanked him and he smirked, "Just don't forget to bring it whenever the sky's dark." He gave you his umbrella. "But this is-". "See you in class, (y/n)" he nonchalantly left.
A.N : I realized this chapter is pretty short. I'm slipping... The first half was from my own experience and as for privacy, I changed some things. Kinda ironic that I put in Sakamoto while the song is sung by Hosono lol. The title of the song is Aiaigasa and translated to the chapter's title.
