Kazemachi is a lovely small town. Everyone gathers the wind under the sun. The town is fun in the summer. Cicadas singing and a little rain. Also, the town's postcard color is really cute. It's the color of the beautiful blue sky. They really like sky blue crayons... The mayor of Kazemachi is nice. His name is Mayor Matsumoto.
Mayor Matsumoto has a lovely smile and kids love it. "Mayor Matsumoto is the best mayor!" everyone loves mayor Matsumoto and is happy with him. Mayor Matsumoto has three best friends, they are Hosono, Ohtaki, and Suzuki. They don't live in Kazemachi but they always come to visit Mayor Matsumoto. Everyone loves them too.
Hosono has a ship and he likes to sail. The ship is with Suzuki on the Pacific pier and he guards the lagoon. Suzuki lives there. At night, Suzuki likes looking at the stars. That's why he has a telescope. One day, Hosono brought Suzuki a wagon. It was weird but turned to be useful.
Ohtaki wanted to build a house near the waterfall so Hosono and Suzuki helped as well as Mayor Matsumoto. The four of them had fun building then Ohtaki left. He said that he was going on a long vacation. The house is finished but Ohtaki hasn't come back yet. The three of them still waits for his return.
"If we're all back together, why would you want to leave?"
"I don't want to ruin us again."
"Just one last time. We understand if you refuse."
"Alright. One last time."
...
"Thank you for being with us. Have a nice vacation."
It's been a long time, right? Mayor Matsumoto is back with his friends, Hosono and Suzuki. "Welcome back!" everyone in Kazemachi greeted. "Where's Ohtaki?" they asked. Mayor Matsumoto said that Ohtaki left without saying. "I don't know when he will return." he apologized. Everyone in Kazemachi smiled and said, "It's alright, Mayor Matsumoto. We're happy that you are back.". Mayor Matsumoto, Hosono, and Suzuki played together again and everyone still loves Happy End. It's their last odyssey.
"It's been a while, hasn't it?"
"It is."
"Don't forget to leave a space."
"I miss talking with him."
"We all do."
The scud flew over Kazemachi then a man appeared. A citizen ran to Mayor Matsumoto's office and said, "There's someone!". "Who?" Suzuki then told Mayor Matsumoto about the scud. Both of them went to check. "What is it?" asked Hosono and followed to the gate then there was a man. "Keiichi." That was the man's name. "Hello, Matsumoto-san." Keiichi smiled and the scud was gone.
"Is that Ohtaki?". "No, I think he's not." Everyone in Kazemachi whispered. "Everyone..." Mayor Matsumoto smiled and introduced, "This is Keiichi. He's our old friend.". Everyone knows that Keiichi is not Ohtaki but nevertheless, they still love him. "Welcome, Keiichi!" everyone cheered. Anyone's a friend of Mayor Matsumoto is a friend of Kazemachi.
A.N : This is WAY shorter than the last one XD I'm back again! Yes, I took a good sleep before typing this. Sorry for the recent Happy End madness... I'm still a bit bummed that I couldn't watch the 50th anniversary concert so I decided to make this chapter as a tribute.
I actually have been writing scraps of the plot for months and they're basically scattered all around my desk. So I piled them all and I dropped A LOT of references here. Also, I made a Japanese version of this chapter but I decided to modify the English version. My Japanese is still bad "--
