Yukihiro promised the two bands to do bowling and after a long and jam-packed schedules, YMO and Happy End finally found the perfect time where both bands are free. Just like the first game, YMO was already waiting for Happy End to come in the lobby.
"I'm guessing that they are arguing about what to wear again..." Ryuichi shot a sass to Haruomi, referring to the last incident and Yukihiro giggled. A short while later, Happy End finally arrived. "Sorry we're late again, Hosono-san!" Matsu apologized again and Haru asked Ryuichi's sass earlier to his former bandmates. "No, we're not. We already solved that." Shigeru answered and Eiichi explained with a small pout, "We were arguing on who would drive and Matsumoto-san insisted to drive his convertible."
Haru gave Matsu an 'are you?' face and Matsu chuckled in embarrassement, confirming what Eiichi said. Yuki, Ryuichi, and Shigeru laughed while Haru shook his head and the two bands went inside after changing their bowling shoes. There wasn't a lot of people playing but the sound of the ball thrown, knocking over the pins along with cheering can be heard.
The two bands did a small practice after they found an empty alley. During the practice, it looks that Yukihiro is much skilled than the others. "Do you come here often, Yukihiro-kun?" asked Shigeru. "Not really. I only come when I have the time." Yuki answered. "Oh, really? You're really good in this." Shigeru gave his compliment and the two bands finished the practice.
Yukihiro then reset the scoreboard and Haru explained the friendly competitiona and whoever scored the most points win. "Anything else you want to add?" Haru asked. "How about we do a bet?" Eiichi suggested and Ryuichi asked if Eiichi was sure about it. Eiichi nodded, "If we win, Hosono-san can't bail the album production." And gave the first wager.
"That's fair." Haru accepted the condition then he gave the second wager, "If we win, you two are the guests for the next Tin Pan Alley show." And pointed at Eiichi and Matsu. Shigeru's eyes had a small glint when he heard Haru's wager and his bandmates agree as well as Yuki and Ryuichi. "Can I add something too?" looks like Shigeru had another idea and Haru allowed. "How about when Happy End gets the first most points, Matsumoto-san is not allowed to use his sunglasses?" Shigeru suggested.
Haru and Eiichi agreed while Matsu complained, "Wait, why is it about me?". "We're taking your swagger privileges." Said Shigeru and Haru gave the same wager as before but Matsu isn't allowed to drive his convertible to the event. "That's not fair!". "It's fair for us." Said Yukihiro and Ryuichi agreed. The two band started the game after agreeing.
It's a ten round each band and Happy End got the first turn. Eiichi threw the ball and it hit eight out of ten pins. The last two were close to each other so it was an easy hit. Then it's YMO's turn and Ryuichi rolled the first ball. It went to somewhat of a straight line and knocked nine pins. "Got 'em!" Ryuichi cheered but it quickly disappeared when the ball missed the only pin standing. Haru tried to hold his snicker and Yuki nudged him.
The order was Eiichi, Shigeru, then Matsu for Happy End and Ryuichi, Yuki, then Haru for YMO. After three rounds, the two bands agreed to have a time out and tally the scores. "Looks like Happy End got the first most points." Yuki announced and Shigeru and Eiichi looked at Matsu. "Fine!" Matsu slightly grunted then whispered to himself, "At least I can still use my car...". "Does anyone agree to change the rules again?" Haru asked and Matsu quickly corrected himself.
"This is the best game night ever." Eiichi smugged with a teasing chuckle and Shigeru tried to hold his snicker. "Shut up, you two." Matsu rolled his eyes and took the ball. Both bands continued the game and after the sixth round, Ryuichi suggested to buy some drinks and both Yuki and Haru agreed for Ryuichi to buy drinks for the six of them. "Ugh, fine... what do you guys want?" he let out a short groan and agreed anyway.
Most of them ordered coke and only two ordered ice coffee. "You're not ordering apple juice, Ohtaki-kun?" Haru teased and Yuki nudged him again. "Alright, be right back." Ryuichi then went to buy the drinks. Yuki asked how the three has been doing and Shigeru answered that they've been doing the usual. Individually. "I'm back." Ryuichi announced himself with three drinks on each hand and handed them over. After a short break, the two bands continued the game.
Even though Yukihiro is a pretty good player, YMO's score was oddly lower than Happy End's. Turns out Ryuichi and Haru kept slipping while Happy End kept a consistent track of their score even though they had less strikes than YMO. It's the last round and Shigeru threw the ball. It rolled and knocked down all of the pins. "Strike!". "Yeah!!" Happy End happily celebrated the last strike.
"Come on, Yukihiro!" Ryuichi shouted and Yuki threw the ball. It hit eight pins and resulted a split. He tried again and only hit the right pin. "Your turn, Hosono-san." Said Yuki and switched places with Haru. "Don't miss it again, Hosono-san!" Yuki warned and Haru threw the ball. It went to the left side but got in the trench, resulting a gutterball. Ryuichi and Yuki cried in defeat while Happy End chuckled in giddy.
The final result was Happy End got the most points than YMO and Matsu sighed in relieve. "You're lucky that we won, Matsumoto-san." Said Eiichi and Shigeru agreed that it would've been funnier. "Good game, everyone!". "Thanks for having us." Said Shigeru after Ryuichi. All six of them exited the bowling alley and went back to their respective places.
A.N : Another upload, guys! It was going to be a double upload but I completely forgot... But! I'm bringing back Happy End and I might write more chapters with the individual members. Taking Takashi Matsumoto's swagger privileges is the best idea I've ever had but I'm not sure if it really happened irl. Still fun tho.
