You Know I Can't

*y/ns POV *

I went back to my room and shut the door. I am so embarrassed. I'm the one who is supposed to have the power here. To make her nervous. To make her stutter. But no here I am stumbling over my words. She has always had that affect on me.

To cleary head I turn on some sitcoms. I always watch them before bed to get me sleepy. Not that I sleep much anyways. I watched TV for hours and eventually drifted off.

I am in the compound with the whole team. We are sat eating dinner. Everyone is happy. Wanda is beside me and we are holding hands and gazing into each others eyes. God I love this woman. This is my family. I wouldn't trade them for the world.

However,they all started to disappear. One by one. Steve, bucky, Sam. All gone. I look to my left and Nat is nowhere to be seen.

Y/n:"guys what's happening?"

Peter:"you didn't see this coming. We are leaving. You deserve to be alone."

Y/n:"whoa-what"

Tony:"spidey is right. You really can't keep anyone around. Not even Wanda wanted to stay"

Y/n:" stop this isn't funny"

Wanda:"who is laughing"

My dad started to disappear, then Peter soon after. I look at Wanda.

Y/n:" please don't go. Please don't leave me"

Wanda :"there is nothing here for me to stay for, look at you, pathetic"

And Wanda then vanished.

I wake up with a scream and heavy panting. I feel my forehead and I am sweating. I try to catch my breath but it feels like I am without air.

Then the door bursts open.

*wandas POV *

"AHHHHHHH"

I was woken abruptly by a scream. It sounded close, I think its from y/ns room. I launch myself out of the bed and run to y/ns room which is down the hall. I burst open the door to see her on the bed gasping for air.

Wanda:"y/n what happened"

Y/n:" I - I was- and I and the they"

She can barely speak. She is shaking and sweating like crazy. I sit beside her and pull her into my chest. She curls up against me and I try to calm her down.

Wanda:" shhhh focus on my heartbeat. How about you count them for me?"

Y/n:"oh okay" she says out of breath.

Wanda:"okay together now"

Y/n and wanda:" one, two, three, four"

Y/n:"five, six, seven" she starts to catch her breath.

Wanda:"you are doing amazing"

Y/n finally regains her normal breathing pattern and sits across from me.

Y/n:"I'm sorry"

Wanda:"you have nothing to be sorry about, but what happened"

Y/n:" just a bad dream that's all"

Wanda:" do they happen often?"

Y/n:" since uhhh Germany"

My heart sank. This is all my fault. I'm the reason she can't sleep. I'm such a monster.

Wanda:"oh y/n I'm so sorry" tears start to form in my eyes.

Y/n:"its just ever since you left I can't sleep. It keeps replaying in my head. It makes me think everyone will leave me. Like I'm not worthy to be loved" her eyes filled with tears and mine were too.

Wanda:" words cant express how sorry I am. Y/n I love you so much and I never wanted to hurt you"

Y/n:" I know Wanda, and I still love you too, that's the worst part"

I sit closer to her with my face inches away from hers.

Wanda:" and why is that such a bad thing?"

Y/n:" how do I know you won't do it again"

Wanda:"I would never do anything to upset you. Ever"

I start to lean into her.

Y/n:" we can't Wanda, I'm with Carol"

Wanda :"look me in the eyes and tell me you love her more than me. Tell me you don't wanna be with me at all"

She looks in my eyes and begins to shake her head.

Y/n:" you know I can't"

Wanda :" I love you with everything in me. You mean the world to me and I promise to never mess it up again"

Y/n looks at me with uncertainty and the joins her lips to mine. The electricity running through my body was enough to light up new York City. I missed this. Her touch. Her lips on mine. We kiss for a few mins and then pull away.

Wanda:"come on lie down"

Y/n:" you don't have to stay the night"

Wanda:" I know, but I want to"

I layed down on the bed and she got down beside me. She turned on her left side and I wrapped my arms around her and placed my head at the back of her neck.

Wanda :" good night my love"

Y/n:" good night princess"
