Could That Have Gone Any Worse?

*y/ns POV*

I spent the next few hours after my shower just relaxing in my room. I wasn't need in the lab today so I guess it's like a day off. My room still needed a few finishing touches so I was moving things around and my phone rang.ITS PETER. I drop what ever is in my hand and pick up almost  immediately.

Peter:"hey y/n"

Y/n:"Peter its so good to see you, how are you"

Peter:"I'm good just miss having you around"

Y/n:"I miss you too Pete, how is everyone"

Peter:"why don't you ask them yourself"

He turned the camera  and everyone was in view. Dad, Nat and Carol.

Y/n:"you don't know how happy I am right now"

Tony :"how is my baby genius doing?"

Y/n:"I'm good dad, even better seeing you guys"

Nat:"they treating you alright out there?"

Y/n:"of coarse Nat"

Carol:"Wanda isn't giving you any trouble is she baby"

Nat and Tony :"Wanda?!"

I freeze.

Carol:"you didn't tell them?"

Y/n:"I think you know the answer based on their reaction"

Nat:"are they all there?"

Y/n:"yeah nat"

Tony:"that's it I'm coming -"

Y/n:"no you're not dad. It's honestly fine. I have forgiven them. Well most of them. And that is my decision so zip it"

Tony:"but-"

Y/n:"nope"

Nat:"but y/n they-"

Carol:"she said stop guys. Y/n knows what she is doing"

I send Carol a smile and she returns it.

Peter:"Carol is right. Y/n can take care of herself"

Y/n:"thanks Pete"

Tony:"you are right"

Nat:"call me if anything happens though yeah?"

Y/n:"yes Nat, I love you guys, I gotta go but we have to do this again"

Tony:"definitely, take care sweetheart"

Nat:"take care stark"

Peter:"byeee"

Carol:"bye baby"

Y/n:"by everyone"

I hung up the phone and sat on my bed. I really miss them. I look at the clock and see the time. It's 6:30.

I get a text from shuri saying dinner is ready. I head down to the kitchen and everyone is already sat down. I look for an empty seat and to my annoyance the only one available is beside wanda.

I shrug it off and sit down.

Steve:"I heard you on the phone is everything okay?"

Y/n:"yeah Steve, just phoned home"

Steve:"are they good?"

Y/n/"yeah they're perfect"

We all dig in and eat our food. Throughout the whole meal me and wanda keep making awkward eye contact. Her eyes are still as entrancing as ever. So beautiful. Wait stop it. I can't think like this.

After dinner is finished I tell the team that I'll clean up. They all thank me and leave the room. I start gathering the plates when I see someone in front of me.

Y/n:"what are you doing?"

Wanda :"making a balloon animal. What does it look like?"

She didn't lose her sarcasm by the looks of it.

Y/n:"I can do it you can go"

Wanda:"nope I'm helping"

I let out a big sigh.

Y/n:"fine. I'll wash and you dry"

Wanda:"yes boss"

I laugh a little and roll my eyes earning a smile from wanda.

I start washing the dishes and hand them to wanda. We develop a nice rhythm and time is going quickly with only a few plates left.

Wanda :" remember when you first came to the compound and we just fought the whole time washing dishes"

Y/n:"yeah you were a bitch" I said playfully

Wanda :"uh-"

Y/n:"what? You were" I begin laughing and wanda finally laughs with me.

Wanda:"I guess you're right"

Y/n:" one of the things I loved most about you"     why the fuck did I just say that. I'm such an idiot.

Wanda:"y/n-"

Y/n:"looks like everything is done here. We are good to go. I'll see ya tomorrow princess. Shit I mean wanda. Ugh bye"

I practically run out of the room. Could that have gone any worse?
