Keandra and I started to walk to the academy, we remained in complete silence as we made our way through the streets of Tippleton. I had my head facing my feet as I spaced out while we walked. I felt strange, as if something was trying to pull me somewhere.
"Hey!" A distant voice called.
"Hey!" The voice started to grow closer.
"Hey Asher, I'm talking to you."
I snapped out of my trance and realized Keandra was talking to me. I took a quick look at my surroundings. There was buildings on each side, each one closely similiar to the one next to it, a small wooden porch, a single window mirroring the building opposite of it, and a dark wooden door. There were also others and children, walking past us. I felt something pinch my arm. I looked at Keandra, who was the one pinching my arm. I pulled my arm back and she let me go.
"Sorry, Keandra, I wasn't listening," I said while rubbing my arm.
"It's not a great idea to space out while we're walking like this," Keandra sighed.
"At least I didn't bump into anyone right," I replied.
"You still could have bumped into someone," Keandra said.
"But I didn't," I smiled.
"You're just lucky that you didn't," Keandra groaned.
"Anyways the school year is almost over so when are you finally going to do something about those bullies." I glanced back at Keandra.
"Oh them. I'll just do what I always do. What about you? Are you finally going to join the student council? You are ranked 1 in the school after all. Student council still bullying you to join their ranks," I asked.
"The student council isn't bullying me, they are just...persistant. No one else would even try to pick a fight with me remember, besides we are almost done with this year, joining the student council is pointless," Keandra answered, before poking me in the shoulder.
"You would be ranked 1 if you even bothered trying to do it but instead you want to be at the bottom and you let others bully you so that way they can blow off some steam. I won't join the student council since they are part of that as well," Keandra mumbled as she shook her head.
"Meh, being ranked 1 and a battle angel doesn't really interest me, only winning in the ceremony does," I answered, blocking Keandra finger with my palm.
"I remember. You're still going to be a Holy Knight with me right," Keandra asked.
"I made a promise so I'll be one along with you," I responded as I bowed.
I stood up straight and smiled back at her.
"A Holy Knight, someone who wins all of their matches in the Tippleton ceromony. An Angel and Battle Angel can team up for this event to have the chance to become one. Joining with Keandra ruined my plan but I can't say no to her," I thought to myself.
We countinued our walk with no other conversation and we started to see more and more people wearing similar cloths as me and Keandra. Most of them were with groups, or in pairs either talking, or laughing with one another. Every now and then I noticed they glanced at Keandra, then glared at me. Keandra and I acted like we didn't notice and kept on our way to the acdemy. When we reached the front gate, I immediately felt a multiple presences around us, another far off, a stronger one. Three figures surrounded me.
"Derek, Claire, Dylan. It's you guys this time, huh? How you guys been?" The presence came closer.
"Not a great way to greet a freind." spoke Claire.
