We managed to get to the ground floor without being noticed. I closed them off to keep them from coming to us, and I slowly kill them.

"What did you do?" Julie asked.

"I trapped them then removed the oxygen and so they should slowly die." I answered.

"What about the window?" Mari said as she stared at her necklace pendant.

"I closed that off as well." I looked up.

"I'd give them about 2 minutes before they die. We can search this place without much of a problem now." I looked at Mari.

"Do you want me to fix yours and Audrey's for you?" She nodded and handed me her necklace.

I took out Audrey's and placed them in the same hand. I put my other hand on Mari's head.

"Try to remember how they looked, to the very last detail." I squeezed my hand that hand the pendants and they began to glow.

The light shined through my hands and it became warm to the point it started to burn a little. I lifted my hand off of Mari's head and opened my hand. Mari grabbed the necklaces and smiled.

"The carvings that were there recently should be gone now." Mari looked at my hand.

"Are you okay?" I pulled back my hand.

"I'm fine." I answered.

Mari grabbed my other hand and opened my palm. She placed one of the necklaces onto my hand. It was the one with Audrey's name carved into it.

"Huh? What do you want me to do with this? Wouldn't you rather hold onto it yourself?" Mati shook her head and giggled.

"I think Audrey's would be much safer hand if you hold onto it." She closed my palm.

"Are you sure?" Mari nodded.

I smiled and put it in my pouch.

"Thank you." I took out the other pendant.

"What do you want to do with this?" Mari snatched it out of my hand and threw it to the ground.

She crushed it under her foot.

"That." I picked up the remaining pieces and grinded them to dust.

"Like that?" She nodded.

"Yeah." I opened my palm and she blew the dust away.

"Now then let's put this one where it should be." I helped Mari put on her necklace.

She turned around and hugged me. It caught me by surprise, I hesitated for a moment to figure out how to react. Thankfully no one other than Nolan seemed to notice my reaction.

"Thank you." She tightened her arm around me.

"Not a problem." She let go of me.

I looked up at the second floor.

"Seems like I was wrong." I sighed.

"They are still alive?" Mari asked.

"Oh no. They are all very much dead." I said.

"Then what's wrong?" She asked.

"It took them 1 and a half to die." I pouted.

"That's what you were worried about?!" Julie yelled.

"Yeah." I shrugged.

"The second floor is smaller compared to this." Nolan added.

I walked to the nearby sculpture of a woman holding a crown pver her head.
