lie

The village of light, Gwangju, had no bright lights, only darkness. Especially at night. Every sunset, families are expected to close their windows and doors, in order to not get the attention of foreign nocturnal pirates or thieves who loved raiding at night.

It is also because of a woman, who was the light of the village, but as the lights disappear, so is her life.

The pathway is too dark, almost pitch black could be seen if it weren't for the presence of the moon. Too different when it is morning or when the sun is always ready to fill in the place of his love, giving the people either the right heat or an oven-like temperature.

"It is chilly here." Jooyoung mumbles as her crying torn cloth expose some of her skin in the middle of a breezy night. "Do you want me to give you a hug?" the cunning fox, Wooyoung offers help to the girl because he has a warm body, and enough layers of cloth to withstand the temperature Jooyoung couldn't bear. It just didn't sound right because Wooyoung always have that upright tone wherein he sounded like a flirt rather than offering help.

"No, thank you." That's why Jooyoung chooses to decline the offer. But even if he had a gentle and genuine sound like Hongjoong or Seonghwa, she thought that she wouldn't accept it either.

One by one, they stumble across things like pebbles, stones, grass, and so on, at which point they bump into each other's backs and sooner had their feet tangled with one another

'thud'

'splash'

Resulting from them swimming, no, to lay at dirty sewage.

"Yeosang, is that your foot I am whiffing right now?"

"Old hag is heavy!"

"Oh Aurora, was that you Mingi?"

"Someone's been enjoying their stay at my back."

"Sannie, you're squeezing my arm!"

"Light up some match!" Hongjoong hisses with the continuous rant of his crew as they are on each other's top.

"You should not! That will attract some thieves! " Mingi whispered-shouted at the crew. But tiny light wouldn't hurt, right?

"Then everyone should calm-" "No one is calming down! I got tired of Yeosang's feet coming at my face, light some match Seonghwa."

Seonghwa grunts lowly at the pain he is having at his ribs due to the rough surface it is flattened to right now. "Mingi told us not to do it, get a hold of yourself, Woo." Seonghwa still had his polite tone even though he is the one that should be respected.

And because of the impatient and peeved-much personality of Wooyoung, he crawls his fingers down in the pocket of the poor Seonghwa, and with a clean move, he brought out the match pick-pocketed the poor man, and brought up the match for him to light.

But sadly, the match was soaked with the stench liquid from the sewage.

!!

"Huh, what..." Sannie squints his eyes with little mumblings coming out from his lips as he put his sight on three separate faint light wandering somewhere from a fair distance.

"I thought citizens weren't supposed to wander with the lights on!" Wooyoung raised his voice at Mingi who kept telling them to never put a light on while being nagged by Changbin who is feeling both annoyed at Wooyoung's attitude and feeling bad for Mingi. But Mingi can't believe it also.

Is this also one of his lies?

Or perhaps-

"Thieves..."
